The 2013 South Australian National Football League season was the 134th season of the top-level Australian rules football competition in South Australia. Matt Thomas (Australian Rules Footballer)
Matthew Thomas (born 27 February 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club and the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). In 2013, Thomas won the Magarey Medal while playing for Norwood. He was delisted by Port Adelaide at the end of the 2013 season. Thomas was picked up by Richmond in the 2013 Rookie Draft and then elevated to its senior list on 11 March 2014. Port Adelaide career Recruited at pick number eight in the 2006 Pre-season draft from TAC Cup side Sandringham Dragons, Thomas played as either a defender or a midfielder. Mitch Grigg
Mitch Grigg (born 2 January 1993) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited from Norwood Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) with selection 41 in the 2011 national draft. He won the Magarey Medal in 2017 and 2018 playing for the Norwood Football Club making him the first player born in 1993 to receive the Magarey Medal. AFL career Grigg did not play an AFL game in 2012, instead playing for the senior and reserves sides in the SANFL. North Adelaide Football Club
North Adelaide Football Club, nicknamed The Roosters, is an Australian rules football club affiliated with the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and SANFL Women's League (SANFLW). The club plays its home games at Prospect Oval, located in Prospect, a northern suburb of Adelaide. The club joined the SAFA in 1888 as the Medindie Football Club (nickname Dingoes), changing its name to North Adelaide in 1893. Leigh Ryswyk
Leigh Ryswyk (born 16 January 1985) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Ryswyk, a Victorian by birth, moved to Queensland as a child and represented his adopted state in the 2003 Under 18 Championship. After impressing on the wing for Southport, he was elevated from the rookie list prior to the 2005 AFL season. Woodville-West Torrens Football Club
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). It was formed in 1990 from an amalgamation of the neighbouring Woodville and West Torrens football clubs and played its inaugural game in 1991. Since 1993, the Eagles have played most of their home games at Woodville's home ground of Woodville Oval, having previously used Football Park. Ryan Ferguson (born 29 September 1981) is an Australian rules football coach and former player. He currently serves as head coach of the Richmond Football Club in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). Thebarton Oval is a sports ground in Adelaide, South Australia currently used for a variety of sports including Australian rules football. ABC Television in South Australia comprises national and local programming on the ABC television network in the Australian state of South Australia, headquartered in Adelaide. ABS or ABS-2 was the historic call sign and name of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's television station in Adelaide, with the "S" standing for South Australia.
