The 2013 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany season was the 28th German Porsche Carrera Cup season. It began on 4 May at Hockenheim and finished on 4 October at the same circuit, after seventeen races, with two races at each event bar Round 3. It ran as a support championship for the 2013 DTM season. Frenchman Kévin Estre won the championship for Hermes ATTEMPTO Racing. British Tolimit Motorsport driver Sean Edwards was killed on 15 October 2013 at Queensland Raceway in Willowbank, Australia, while instructing a member of the public at a private test session. Rolf Ineichen (born 2 May 1978) is a Swiss racing driver who currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe and the ADAC GT Masters. Hockenheimring
The Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg () is a motor racing circuit situated in the Rhine valley near the town of Hockenheim in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Amongst other motor racing events, it has hosted the German Grand Prix, most recently in 2019. The circuit has very little differences in elevation. The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license. Nicki Thiim (born 17 April 1989 in Sønderborg, Denmark) is a Danish professional racing driver, and Aston Martin Racing works driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Biography After competing in karting, Thiim won the 2006 Danish Formula Ford Championship. Kyle Marcelli (born 23 February 1990) is a Canadian racing driver who currently competes in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. Career Marcelli began his racing career in karts in 2005, before moving into single seaters for the 2006 Bridgestone F2000 Racing Series, in which he finished second. In December 2014, Marcelli was a part of the Davidson Racing team that won the yearly 25 Hours of Thunderhill, driving a Norma prototype chassis alongside co-drivers Randy Pobst, Alex Lloyd, and Brian Frisselle. Philipp Eng (born 28 February 1990 in Salzburg) is an Austrian professional racing driver, and BMW Motorsport works driver. Career Karting Eng started karting in 2003, by competing in KF2, Intercontinental A Junior karts, competing in the Andrea Margutti Trophy and the Italian Open Masters. Eng finished 18th in the Margutti Trophy, leading home Marco Wittmann, while he finished 30th in the Italian Open Masters. Eng continued at JICA level in 2004, finishing seventh in the Margutti Trophy, and 31st in the European Championship. One highlight however was that Eng won the Italian Open Masters, holding off Wittmann again by five points. He moved to ICA level in 2005, but only contested the Italian Championship and the Open Masters. Michael Bleekemolen (born 2 October 1949 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) is a racing driver who currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving for the family-owned Team Bleekemolen in the No. 69 Ford Mustang in the Elite 2 class. He previously raced for the RAM and ATS teams in Formula One. He graduated from Formula Vee and tried his hand at Formula One in 1977, where he failed to qualify at his home Grand Prix. Nevertheless, he returned the following year with ATS for four races, but qualified only once, at Watkins Glen.
