2013 PSL Season
The 2013 PSL Season was the maiden season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL), the first professional volleyball league in the Philippines. The PSL began as a women's league during its inaugural tournament, the Invitational conference. A men's division was added for the succeeding tournament, the Grand Prix conference. The TMS-Philippine Army Lady Troopers were the first PSL champions, winning both tournaments held during the season. For the men's division, the PLDT myDSL Speed Boosters emerged as the first champions. Invitational Conference The Invitational Conference, held from July 7, 2013 to July 28, 2013. It was the maiden tournament of the PSL. Wanitchaya Luangtonglang
Wanitchaya Luangtonglang ( th, วณิชยา หล่วงทองหลาง; RTGS: Wanitchaya Luangthonglang, born October 8, 1992) is a member of the Thailand women's national volleyball team. Career Luangtonglang won with her U18 team the 2008 Asian Championship Bronze Medal. With her national senior team, she won the 2009 Asian Championship gold medal and the 2010 Asian Cup silver medal. RC Cola Raiders
The RC Cola-Army Troopers were a professional women's volleyball team in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). It debuted as the RC Cola Raiders in the 2013 Grand Prix Conference of the PSL. The team is owned by ARC Refreshments Corporation, the Philippine licensee of Royal Crown Cola International. From 2014 to 2015, it partnered with the official women's volleyball team of the Philippine Air Force and played as the RC Cola-Air Force Raiders. The 2013 PSL Grand Prix was the second tournament of the Philippine Super Liga for its maiden season. It was held from November 10, 2013 to December 14, 2013. For this conference (women's), each team was allowed to include two import players in the line up. The TMS-Philippine Army Lady Troopers clinched the women's championship, thereby winning all two conferences of the 2013 PSL season. Maria Paulina "Pau" Soriano is a Filipino volleyball athlete player of the Creamline Cool Smashers that plays in the Premier Volleyball League (formerly known as the Shakey's V-League). Personal life Soriano went to Tandang Sora Elementary School in Banlat, Quezon City and the Ernesto Rondon High School. She is a graduate of Hospitality Management from Adamson University. Career During her collegiate years she played with Adamson Lady Falcons from 2008 to 2012 and was team captain from 2011 to 2012 and playing as its quick hitter or middle blocker. Soriano played with Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns from 2013 to 2015. She played the 2013 Shakey's V-League All-Star game. The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament.
