2013 Oceania Cup
The 2013 Men's Oceania Cup was the eighth edition of the men's field hockey tournament. It was held from 30 October to 3 November in Stratford. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2014 FIH World Cup. Australia won the tournament for the eighth time, defeating New Zealand 5–2 in the final. Daniel James Beale (born 12 February 1993) is an Australian field hockey player. He competed in the Hockey at the 2014 Commonwealth Games – Men's tournament, men's hockey tournament at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a gold medal. Beale was selected in the Kookaburras (hockey), Kookaburras Olympics squad for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Jared Kiran Panchia (born 18 October 1993) is a New Zealand field hockey player who plays as a forward or midfielder for the New Zealand national team. Life and career Panchia was born on 18 October 1993 in Auckland to Peter Panchia and Ramila. Both his parents played field hockey at local level. Panchia's siblings are also field hockey players; his elder brother Arun Panchia has captained the national side, while younger brother Daniel Panchia has represented the national junior team. Hugo Inglis (born 18 January 1991) is a New Zealand field hockey player who plays as a forward for the New Zealand national team. He played for the Southern Dogs in the New Zealand Hockey League and he played in Europe for SCHC, Braxgata and currently Rotterdam. He also represented the Uttar Pradesh Wizards in the Hockey India League. Club career Inglis started playing hockey when he was five and he joined his local hockey club the Southern Dogs.
