2013 Norwegian First Division (women)
The 2013 1. divisjon (women) is the second tier of Norwegian women's football in 2013. The season kicked off on 13 April 2013, and was finished on 19 October 2013. The top placed team was promoted to the 2014 Toppserien. The second placed team contested a playoff against the eleventh-placed team from this year's Toppserien for the right to play in Toppserien next season. Participating teams 2012 champions Avaldsnes were promoted to the Toppserien at the end of the 2012 season. They were replaced by Fart, who were relegated from the 2012 Toppserien. Alta and Voss were relegated at the end of the 2012 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. They were replaced by the two playoff-winners Kaupanger and Lyn. In January 2013, Toppserien-club Kattem withdrew from the league. Their place in the 2013 Toppserien was first offered to Fart, who declined, and then to Medkila, who accepted. IK Grand Bodø
Idrettsklubben Grand Bodø is a Norwegian association football club from Bodø, Nordland. It was founded on 12 April 1917. Football Former Liverpool and England international full-back Chris Lawler was player-coach for the club in 1981. Its women's team was a mainstay in Toppserien for many years, and won bronze in 1986, but has not played there since the 2007 season. The men's football team currently plays in the Fourth Division, the fifth tier of Norwegian football, but played in the Third Division as late as 2010. Lyn Fotball
Lyn 1896 Fotballklubb () is a Norwegian football club and a department of the sports club Ski- og Fotballklubben Lyn based in Oslo, whose members also participate in Nordic skiing and orienteering. Until 2010, SFK Lyn had two football departments, one professional section and one amateur section. After the professional football department, FK Lyn, was bankrupted in 2010, the fans decided to support the amateur department, Lyn Fotball, instead. With the help of some of the old FK Lyn players, Lyn Fotball has won three consecutive promotions, and are playing in the 3. divisjon. The team plays its home matches at Bislett Stadium, and the head coach is currently Jan Halvor Halvorsen. Lyn was founded in 1896 and is one of the oldest football clubs in Norway. Maria Dybwad Brochmann
Maria Dybwad Brochmann (born 25 March 1993) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a forward for Djurgården. Club career Brochmann hails from Bergen and started her career in Åsane. Her breakthrough came in the 2013 Norwegian First Division, where she became top goalscorer with 20 goals in 20 games. In 2014 she moved up one division to Arna-Bjørnar. During parts of her spell at Arna-Bjørnar, she played as a defender. However, she reverted to being a forward and became one of the most prolific goalscorers of the 2018 Toppserien. The Norwegian Football Federation ( nb, Norges Fotballforbund, nn, Noregs Fotballforbund; NFF) is the governing body of football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the men's and women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien and Toppserien). The current president of NFF is Lise Klaveness. By 1 January 2004, there were 1,814 clubs organized in Norway and 373,532 registered players. It is the largest sports federation in Norway. The women's football team played in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of Norwegian football, up to and including the 2012 season, after which it resigned its place in the 1. divisjon. Medkila IL is a football team from Harstad in North Norway, most notable for its women's football team which is playing in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of Norwegian women's football. Medkila first came to prominence after winning the 2003 Norwegian Women's Cup while playing in the First Division. Medkila knocked out Leknes FK (1-10), Grand Bodø (1-5), IF Fløya (2-1), IL Sandviken (6-1) and Team Strømmen (1-3), and beat Kolbotn (2-1) in the final. Alta IF
Alta Idrettsforening is a sports club from Alta, Norway. The club is most known for its association football department, which played in the 1. divisjon until 2014. Alta currently plays in 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was newly promoted for the 2008 season; its last stint up to that time in the division came in 2005, when they finished last. The team finished 14th in the 2009 season.
