The 2013 Mountain West Conference Football Championship Game determined the 2013 football champion of the Mountain West Conference (MW). The game, played at Bulldog Stadium on the campus of California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), was the first football conference championship game for the Mountain West Conference. The game featured the West Division champions Fresno State Bulldogs hosting the Mountain Division champions Utah State Aggies. Fresno State won 24–17 and represented the Mountain West in the 2013 Las Vegas Bowl on December 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada after defeating Utah State by 7 points. History Funding and construction Prior to the construction of Bulldog Stadium, Fresno State played at 13,000-seat Ratcliffe Stadium at Fresno City College, about southwest. At that time, there were only two stadiums in the Fresno area, Ratcliffe and McLane, which made scheduling of local football games difficult. Isaiah Burse
Isaiah Burse (born December 8, 1991) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Fresno State. He was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2014. High school career From 2007 to 2009, Burse played for Modesto Christian High School in Modesto, California. He was the starting varsity quarterback for three seasons, and during his senior year, led the Modesto Christian Crusaders to the small school state championship. They defeated Parker, a San Diego high school, 44-40. The Crusaders finished the season with a perfect 15-0 record. Burse finished the season with 27 passing touchdowns, 26 rushing touchdowns, and was named MaxPreps Small School State Player of the Year. Marcel Esteban Jensen (born February 12, 1990) is a former American football tight end. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2014 NFL Draft.
