2013 Moto3 World Championship
The 2013 FIM Moto3 World Championship was a part of the 65th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The riders' championship title was won by Team Calvo rider Maverick Vinales and runner up by Alex Rins from Estrella Galicia 0,0. Season summary In Moto3, the championship was dominated by three Spanish riders, all riding KTM machinery. Like the premier class, there was a final race title decider between Ajo Motorsport's Luis Salom, Estrella Galicia 0,0's Álex Rins and Maverick Viñales of Team Calvo; if any rider of the three won the race, they finished as the champion, regardless of the other results. After Salom crashed out early in the race, Rins and Viñales battled at the front, with Viñales ultimately coming out as the victor and champion, with Rins being passed for second place on the line by Jonas Folger. The Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix ( ar, جائزة قطر الكبرى للدراجات النارية) is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The Losail race track in Qatar represents the debut race of each MotoGP season. In 2008, the track held the first night event in MotoGP history. The 2008 night event, aside from drawing boosted viewing which also coincided with the race being moved to the opening spot on the calendar, was initiated with the intent of increasing equipment performance: the day-time heat in Qatar has been hazardous to the conditions of tires and expensive, customized parts on the multimillion-dollar motorcycles. The Portuguese motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling road racing event that is part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing World Championship. History The event was first held in 1987 at the Jarama circuit in Spain. The reason for this was because the main Portuguese circuit at the time, the Circuito do Estoril, was not yet ready to be used for motorcycle racing. However, Portugal still wanted to host a round in the championship that year and so opted to use the Jarama circuit until their own was ready for use.
