The 2013 Moselle Open was a men's tennis tournament held in Metz, France and played on indoor hard courts. It was the 11th edition of the Moselle Open, and part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the 2013 ATP World Tour. It was held at the Parc des Expositions de Metz Métropole from 16 September until 22 September 2013. Second-seeded Gilles Simon won the singles title. ATP World Tour 250 Series
The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Tour Masters 1000, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments. As of 2020 ATP Tour, 2020, the series includes 39 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion—which accounts for the name of the series. Florian Mayer
Florian Mayer (; born 5 October 1983) is a German former professional tennis player. Mayer reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 18 in June 2011. Also in 2011, Mayer won his first ATP title after four previous defeats in ATP finals. Mayer competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics. At the 2004 Wimbledon Championships, Mayer reached the quarter-finals, which is his best Grand Slam result to date. He received the ATP Newcomer of the Year award in 2004. Eight years later, Mayer made his second Grand Slam quarter-final, once again at Wimbledon. Vasek Pospisil ( ; cs, Vašek Pospíšil, ; known in born June 23, 1990) is a Canadian professional tennis player. Pospisil has a career-high world singles ranking of No. 25, and No. 4 in doubles. Along with partner Jack Sock, he won the 2014 Wimbledon Championships and the 2015 Indian Wells Masters men's doubles titles. He also reached the quarterfinals in singles at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships. Early life and career Vasek was born on June 23, 1990 in Vernon, British Columbia, to Miloš and Mila. Andreas Haider-Maurer (; born 22 March 1987) is a retired professional tennis player from Austria. In the first round of the 2010 US Open, he forced world No. 5 Robin Söderling to a fifth set before losing the match. That same year, Haider-Maurer reached the final of his home tournament in Vienna. Marcel Granollers Pujol (; ; born 12 April 1986) is a Spanish professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 19 in July 2012, and his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 4 in February 2013. Michael Berrer (born 1 July 1980) is a German retired professional tennis player. He reached his career-high singles ranking of world No. 42 in May 2010. Lucky Loser
A lucky loser is a sports competitor (player or team) who loses a match in a knockout tournament or loses in qualifying, but who then enters the main draw, usually when another competitor withdraws during the tournament because of illness, injury, or other reasons. Márton Fucsovics
Márton Fucsovics ( hu, Fucsovics Márton, ; born 8 February 1992) is a Hungarian professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 31 on 4 March 2019. He is currently the No. 1 Hungarian player. Early life Fucsovics started to play tennis at the age of five. He came through the ranks quickly and at the age of 8 he played in a field 3–4 years older.
