2013 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 2013 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 119th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. The championship began on 2013 and is ended on 6 October 2013. Kilmallock were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the semi-final stage. Na Piarsaigh won the title following a 0–14 to 0–12 defeat of Adare in the final. Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bon Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Limerick SHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking senior clubs in the county of Limerick in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition in Limerick hurling. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at the Gaelic Grounds in October. The prize for the winning team is the John Daly Cup. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently uses a round robin format followed by a knock-out stage. Gaelic Grounds
The Gaelic Grounds, know for sponsorshop reasons as the TUS Gaelic Grounds, is the principal GAA stadium in the Irish city of Limerick, home to the Limerick hurling and football teams. It has a capacity of 44,023. History 9 October 1926 saw first steps taken towards creating the Limerick Gaelic Grounds as a GAA stadium of note. A farm containing was purchased at Coolraine on the Ennis Road for development as a sporting grounds. Two years later the new grounds officially opened with two junior hurling games. The first big effort to raise funds for the development of the grounds was in 1932, with the establishment of a development committee, whose remit was to level the pitch, providing sideline seating and erect a boundary wall. Effin () is a townland and civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish in County Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Ballybrown GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Ballybrown, County Limerick, Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. In 2018, Ballybrown fielded teams at Senior, Junior A and Junior B in hurling, while also a team at Junior A in football. Ballybrown's biggest rivals are neighbours Patrickswell, the two clubs sharing 22 senior titles between them. The club have two pitches, located in the village of Clarina. Granagh-Ballingarry GAA ( ga, Greanach-Baile an Gharraí) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in west Limerick, Ireland, within the jurisdiction of Limerick GAA. The club is situated near Knockfierna Hill. Granagh-Ballingarry GAA was formed in 1990 after the merger between Granagh and Ballingarry GAA clubs.
