2013 KHL Expansion Draft
The 2013 KHL Expansion Draft was held on 17 June 2013 in order to fill the roster of the league's expansion team Admiral Vladivostok for the 2013-14 season. Rules Admiral Vladivostok was able to select players from any of the Russian-based teams in the KHL, except from Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Hockey Club Admiral, Also Known as The Admiral Vladivostok, (russian: Хоккейный клуб Адмирал)are a professional ice hockey team based in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia. They are members of the Chernyshev Division of the Eastern Conference of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Admiral play their home games at Fetisov Arena, which has a capacity of 7,500. Metallurg Novokuznetsk (russian: Металлург Новокузнецк) is a professional ice hockey team from Siberia based in Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo Oblast, Russia. They are currently members of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL). History The team was founded in 1949 in Novokuznetsk (then Stalinsk) to compete in the lower divisions of the Soviet ice hockey championship. During the 1960s, Metallurg managed to advance to the elite group for several seasons, but did not establish itself as a major club until the 1990s when the International Hockey League was formed. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. Enver Gennadievich Lisin (russian: Э́нвер Генна́дьевич Ли́син; born April 22, 1986) is a Russian professional ice hockey forward who is currently an unrestricted free agent.
