2013 Inter-Provincial Trophy
The 2013 Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup was the first season of the Interprovincial Twenty20 Cup, the domestic Twenty20 cricket competition of Ireland. The competition was played between Leinster Lightning, Northern Knights, and North West Warriors. The competition was won by Leinster Lightning, who won the last game of the competition, against North West Warriors at Bready CC, to draw level with Northern Knights on 6 points, but finish top of the table on Net Run Rate. The Interprovincial Series has been funded at least partly by the ICC via their TAPP programme. Cricket Ireland, officially the Irish Cricket Union, is the national governing body for cricket on the island of Ireland (both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland), and oversees the national men's and women's cricket teams. Max Sorensen
Max Christian Sorensen (born 18 November 1985) is an Irish former international cricketer of South African origin, who played for the Irish national team. Born in Johannesburg, Sorensen is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium. He has played for The Hills Cricket Club in Dublin since 2007. In July 2017, he announced his retirement from international cricket. International career Sorensen was called up to Ireland's squad for their tour to Kenya in February 2012, and for their subsequent participation in the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier. During the Kenyan leg of the tour, Sorensen made his first-class debut against Kenya in the Intercontinental Cup. Greg James Thompson (born 17 September 1987) is an Irish cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. He has played for Ireland since 2004, playing for the full squad before reverting to play for the Under-17, Under-19 and Under-23 teams respectively from 2005 onwards. He is at Royal School Armagh.
