The 2013 IIHF World Women's U18 Championships was the sixth IIHF World Women's U18 Championships and was hosted in Finland. Versowood Areena
Versowood Areena is an indoor arena in Heinola, Finland. The arena was built in 1984 and has a capacity of 2975 where 1500 can be seated and 1475 can stand. It is the home arena for Peliitat Heinola of the 2. Divisioona. History Construction of the arena lasted from 1983 to 1984. The first match played was a test match friendly between the international squads Sweden men's national ice hockey team, Sweden and Finland men's national ice hockey team, Finland which drew in a full crowd. The ceiling also holds the jerseys of Heinola greats Marko Nyman and Vesa Welling whose numbers 16 and 19 were retired by the team. Emmi Rakkolainen (born 9 August 1996) is a Finnish ice hockey player and member of the Finland women's national ice hockey team, Finnish national team, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with HV71 (women), HV71 Dam. Catherine Daoust
Catherine Daoust is a Canadian ice hockey defender, currently signed with PWHL Montreal of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Career Daoust won a $1,500 scholarship from the NHL's Montreal Canadiens in 2013. From 2014 to 2018, Daoust played and studied at the University of Minnesota Duluth, putting up 37 points in 140 NCAA games. She was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team in both 2016 and 2017, and served as an assistant captain for Minnesota-Duluth in her senior year. She was drafted 28th overall by Les Canadiennes de Montréal in the 2018 CWHL Draft.
