2013 Gagarin Cup Playoffs
The 2013 Gagarin Cup playoffs of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has begun on February 20, 2013, after the conclusion of the 2012–13 KHL regular season. The 2013 Gagarin Cup Finals started in April. Playoff seeds After the regular season, the standard 16 teams qualified for the playoffs. The SKA Saint Petersburg became the Western Conference regular season champions and Continental Cup winners with 115 points. The Ak Bars Kazan were the Eastern Conference regular season champions, finishing the season with 104 points. HC Dynamo Moscow
HC Dynamo Moscow () is a Russian professional ice hockey club based in Moscow. It is a member of the Tarasov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. Dynamo has won the Gagarin Cup twice, in 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons, and have won the regular season championship once, in 2013–14, winning the Continental Cup. The club is one of the most successful teams in Russia. History The team was founded in 1946 and belonged the Dynamo Moscow sports club, a part of Dynamo sports society sponsored by the Soviet Ministry of Interior and the national security structures including the KGB. Hockey Club Atlant Moscow Oblast (russian: ХК Атлант Московская область, en, Atlas Hockey Club Moscow Region) was a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Mytishchi, Moscow Oblast. They were members of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League in the 2014–15 season, but have not been active since the 2015–16 season due to financial issues. Tony Mårtensson
Tony Hans Mårtensson (born June 23, 1980) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey center. He was born in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Playing career Mårtensson was drafted by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the 7th round as the 224th pick overall. He only played in six games with the Mighty Ducks during the 2003–04 season, scoring two points. Since season 2004–05 he has played for Linköpings HC in the Swedish elite league Elitserien. Jakub Petružálek (born 24 April 1985) is a Czech professional ice hockey center playing for HC Litvínov of the Czech Extraliga (ELH). Playing career Petružálek played in his native Czech Republic with HC Litvínov of the Czech Extraliga, and in the Ontario Hockey League, before he was drafted by the New York Rangers, 266th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Petri Kontiola (born October 4, 1984) is a Finnish professional ice hockey centre currently playing for Ilves of the Liiga. Kontiola has previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Chicago Blackhawks, the organization that drafted him 196th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Kontiola was drafted 196th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks while playing for Tappara in the Finnish SM-liiga. Hockey Club Sibir Novosibirsk Oblast (russian: ХК Сибирь, en, Siberia HC), also known as HC Sibir or Sibir Novosibirsk, is a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Novosibirsk.
