2013 Football League Trophy Final
The 2013 Football League Trophy Final was the 30th final of the English domestic football cup competition for teams from Football Leagues One and Two, the Football League Trophy. The final was played at Wembley Stadium in London on 7 April 2013. The match was contested between Crewe Alexandra from League One and Southend United from League Two. Crewe Alexandra won the game 2–0, following goals from Luke Murphy and Max Clayton. 2012–13 Football League Trophy
The 2012–13 Football League Trophy, known as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is the 29th season in the history of Football League Trophy, the competition. It is a knock-out tournament for Football in England, English football clubs in Football League One, League One and Football League Two, League Two, the third and fourth tiers of the English football. In all, 48 clubs will enter the competition. It is split into two sections, Northern and Southern, with the winners of each section contesting the final at Wembley Stadium. Kelvin Mellor (born 25 January 1991) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Crewe Alexandra. Early life Mellor was born in Crewe in Cheshire. Career Nantwich Town Mellor started his career at Nantwich Town, before joining Crewe Alexandra in 2008. Steve Davis (footballer Born 1965)
Steven Peter Davis (born 26 July 1965) is an English football manager and former professional footballer who is currently a trainer scout for Wolverhampton Wanderers. As a defender, he played over 100 league games at each of three clubs: Crewe Alexandra, Burnley and Barnsley. After managing Cheshire-based non-league teams Northwich Victoria and Nantwich Town, he was appointed assistant manager at Crewe Alexandra in 2009. Two years later, in November 2011, he was appointed Crewe manager, winning a Wembley play-off final in 2012 and the EFL Trophy in 2013. He left Crewe in January 2017 (at which date he was the fourth longest serving manager in the top four divisions of English football) and then head coach at National League club Leyton Orient for just over four months to November 2017. Jay Leitch-Smith (born 6 March 1990), known as A-Jay Leitch-Smith, is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Hyde United. Ryan Paul Colclough (born 27 December 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Chesterfield. Career Crewe Alexandra Colclough was born in the town of Burslem in Stoke-on-Trent. George Edward Ray (born 13 October 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Barrow. He is a former Wales under-21 international. Byron Curtis Moore (born 24 August 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays for club AFC Telford United. He can play as a winger or as a forward, and has also been utilised as a wing-back. A graduate of the Crewe Alexandra Academy, he made his senior debut for Crewe Alexandra in August 2007.
