2013 European Team Championships Super League
The 2013 European Athletics Team Championships Super League was the ''Super League'' of the 4th edition of the European Athletics Team Championships (European Team Championships until 2011 edition), the 2013 European Athletics Team Championships, which took place on 22 and 23 June 2013 in Gateshead, Great Britain. As with the previous championships there were a couple of rules applying specifically to this competition, such as the limit of three attempts in the throwing events, long jump and triple jump (only the top four were allowed the fourth attempt) and the limit of four misses total in the high jump and pole vault. Final standings Note: The competition was originally won by Russia but after doping disqualification of Yekaterina Sharmina and points being reallocated it was overtaken by Germany and Great Britain. Gateshead
Gateshead () is a large town in northern England. It is on the River Tyne's southern bank, opposite Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle to which it is joined by seven bridges. Ihor Bodrov ( uk, І́гор Вале́рійович Бодро́в; born 9 July 1987) is a Ukrainian sprinter. Career Bodrov began his sport career with the 34th International Children's Games held in Plock, Poland in 2002. When he took the gold medal in the 100 m, his result was 11.61. He finished fourth in the 200 m at the 2006 World Junior Championships setting his personal best at 21.17 seconds. Danny Talbot (born 1 May 1991) is a retired British sprinter who competed in the 100 metres and the 200 metres. Career Talbot won the 200m bronze medal at the 2012 European Athletics Championships in Helsinki. For Team GB in the 4 × 100 m at the London 2012 Olympics, he ran the third leg in the heats but failed to exchange the baton with anchor Adam Gemili. He ran again for Britain in the 4 x 100 at the 2014 World Relay Championships, forming part of a quartet which ran 37.93 in the heats and went on to win bronze. At the IAAF World Championships held in London in 2017, Talbot qualified for the 200 metres semifinal with a personal best of 20.16 in his heat on 7 August.
