2013 European F3 Open Season
The 2013 European F3 Open Championship was the fifth and final season European F3 Open Championship . Despite missing the opening round of the season, Ed Jones of Team West-Tec was crowned champion by nine points on dropped scores over RP Motorsport driver Sandy Stuvik. The final championship standings were determined after two appeals had been lodged, and upheld, with the Real Automóvil Club de España. Teams and drivers * All cars were powered by Toyota engines. European F3 Open Championship
The Euroformula Open Championship (formerly the Spanish Formula Three Championship, European F3 Open Championship) is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe and Scandinavia that together used to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One. The championship's first season was held in 2001. In 2006, it was branded as the Spanish F3 Championship by Toyota, in deference to its sole engine supplier. In 2020, the championship ceased to be a F3-championship and will share its specifications with Japan's Super Formula Lights based on the previous-generation Formula Three standards, primarily with a choice of engines. Artur Janosz
Artur Janosz (born 16 June 1993) is a Polish racing driver. Career Karting Born on 16 June 1993 in Pszczyna, Janosz began karting in 2010 in the local Senior category of the Rotax International Open, in which he became 24th. This is the only registered karting championship in which he competed. Euroformula Open Janosz graduated to the European F3 Open Championship, with Campos Racing, in 2013. He finished in the points three times: in the second race in Spa-Francorchamps and both races in Monza. He became 13th in the championship with 16 points. Janosz remained in the series, now renamed as the Euroformula Open Championship, with RP Motorsport. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. Autódromo Internacional Do Algarve
The Algarve International Circuit ( pt, Autódromo Internacional do Algarve), commonly referred to as Portimão Circuit, is a race circuit located in Portimão, Algarve region, Portugal. The development includes a karting track, off-road track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments. The circuit was designed by Ricardo Pina, Arquitectos. Richard Gonda (born 14 March 1994, in Banská Bystrica) is a professional racing driver from Slovakia. Career Karting Gonda began karting in 2003 and raced primarily in his native Slovakia for the majority of his career, working his way up from the junior ranks with the seven national titles. Drivex is an auto racing team and school based in Spain. The team was founded by Pedro de la Rosa and Miguel Ángel de Castro in 2005 as a racing school. The racing team is run by Miguel Ángel de Castro. Spencer James Pigot (born September 29, 1993) is an American racing driver who currently drives in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Personal life Pigot was born in Los Angeles and raised Pasadena, California, and Orlando where he graduated from Windermere Preparatory School. He currently resides in Indianapolis. Nelson Mason (born 13 October 1987) is a Canadian racing driver currently racing in the World Series Formula V8 3.5 for Teo Martín Motorsport. He is one of only a handful of Canadian racing drivers who made the step into the European motorsport scene with some success.
