The 2013 Dwars door Vlaanderen was the 68th edition of the Dwars door Vlaanderen cycle race and was held on 20 March 2013. The race started in Roeselare and finished in Waregem. The race was won by Oscar Gatto. Oscar Gatto
Oscar Gatto (born 1 January 1985) is an Italian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2020, for seven different teams. His nickname is 'Oscar the Cat' because his surname (Gatto) is the Italian word for "cat", and his first name is Oscar. Career Born in Montebelluna, Gatto left at the end of the 2013 season, and joined for the 2014 season. In 2015, he rode for . In October 2015 it was announced that Gatto would join for the 2016 season, with the team's directeur sportif Steven de Jongh describing his main role as providing support for Peter Sagan in the classics. Thomas Voeckler (; born 22 June 1979) is a French former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2017, for the team and its previous iterations. One of the most prominent French riders of his generation, Voeckler has been described as a "national hero", due to strong performances over several years in the Tour de France. Ian Dexter Stannard (born 25 May 1987) is a British former professional track and road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2008 and 2020 for the , and teams, before retiring after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Waregem (; vls, Woaregem), sometimes known as Waereghem, is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. Roeselare (; french: Roulers, ; West Flemish: ''Roeseloare'') is a Belgian city and municipality in the Flemish province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Roeselare proper and the towns of Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke.
