2013 Dr McKenna Cup
The 2013 Dr McKenna Cup was a Gaelic football competition played under the auspices of Ulster GAA. The tournament features the 2012 All-Ireland Champions, Donegal, whose first game (away against Fermanagh) was put back for several days due to Donegal's team holiday in Dubai. Ahead of the tournament Queen's announced they were quitting in a controversy over their players being poached by other teams, though Ulster Council President Aogan Farrell had appealed for this practice to stop. Format The teams are drawn into two groups of four teams and one of three. Each team plays the other teams in its group once, earning 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw. The three group winners, and the best runner-up (from the four-team groups) progress to the semi-finals. The 2012 Dr McKenna Cup was a Gaelic football competition played under the auspices of Ulster GAA. The tournament was won by Tyrone, their first McKenna title since 2007. They defeated Derry in the final. The final was noted for the attendance of Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness. The Cavan County Board ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae an Chabháin) or Cavan GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Cavan. 2013 O'Byrne Cup
The 2013 O'Byrne Cup is a Gaelic football competition played by the teams of Leinster GAA. The competition differs from the Leinster Senior Football Championship as it also features further education colleges and the winning team does not progress to another tournament at All-Ireland level. The O'Byrne Cup began on 6 January 2013 and was competed on a round robin basis, the top team in each group qualifying for the semi-finals. Kildare were the winners. 2014 Dr McKenna Cup
The 2014 Dr McKenna Cup was a Gaelic football competition played under the auspices of Ulster GAA. The tournament's final was to be contested by Cavan and Tyrone, a repeat of the 2000 decider, at Brewster Park in Enniskillen on 25 January. However, the final was postponed due to an unplayable pitch until 15 February. Tyrone were defending champions. Cavan had last won the competition in 2000, also the last occasion on which they had contested the final. Tyrone retained the title, winning the final 1–15 to 0–11. St Mary's University College, Belfast
St Mary's University College is a university college in Belfast, Northern Ireland. History The origins of the College can be traced back to 1900 when the Dominican Sisters opened St Mary’s Training College on the present Falls Road campus with an enrollment of 100 women students. For nearly 50 years after that, the college was concerned with the education of women students and their preparation for teaching in primary schools.
