Taipei
Taipei (), officially Taipei City, is the capital and a special municipality of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Kim Sa-rang (badminton)
Kim Sa-rang (Hangul: 김사랑; ; born 22 August 1989) is a South Korean badminton player. He competed at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Kim Sa-rang started playing badminton when he was in elementary school, and his international debut on the Osaka International tournament. He joined the Korea national badminton team in 2008. At that year, he won the Australia International Challenge tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Choi Sang-won. In 2011, he won the Turkey International tournament in the men's doubles event with Kim Gi-jung. In 2012, he and Kim Gi-jung won their first Superseries title at the Japan Open tournament. In the final round they beat the Malaysian pair Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong. At the 2012 Badminton Asia Championships in Qingdao, China, they won a gold medal after defeat Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa of Japan in the final round. Kim Ha-na
Kim Ha-na (Hangul: 김하나; or ; born 27 December 1989) is a South Korean badminton player. She was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2013 Asian Championships, and was part of the national team that won the Sudirman Cup in 2017. Kim won her first Superseries title at the 2012 India Open in the women's doubles event. She reached a career high of world no. 1 in the mixed doubles in September 2016. Sport career At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Kim and her partner Jung Kyung-eun, along with Ha Jung-eun, Kim Min-jung, Wang Xiaoli, Yu Yang, Meiliana Jauhari and Greysia Polii were disqualified from the competition because their efforts were not focused on winning their matches, and their conduct was in a way that was harmful and violent to the sport. Go Ah-ra (born 21 September 1992) is a Korean badminton player, specializing in doubles play. Go won 2013 Vietnam Open Grand Prix with her partner Yoo Hae-won, she and Yoo also won the bronze medal at the 2013 Badminton Asia Championships. Tang Jinhua
Tang Jinhua (; born 8 January 1992) is a Chinese retired badminton player who competed at the highest level during the second decade of the 2000s, winning numerous women's doubles and occasional mixed doubles events with a variety of partners. She is a graduate of Hunan University. Career In 2009 Tang Jianhua won the World Junior girls double title with partner Xia Huan in Alor Setar, Malaysia. A year later in Guadalajara, Mexico they nearly repeated this success but fell in the finals to compatriots Bao Yixin and Ou Dongni. Tang and Xia also won girls' doubles at both the 2009 and 2010 Asian Junior Championships before graduating into elite level women's competition. In October 2010, the young partnership reached the final of the Vietnam Open Grand Prix and in December they won their first Grand Prix level title at the India Grand Prix where Tang also copped the mixed doubles title with partner Liu Peixuan. Ma Jin
Ma Jin (; born 7 May 1988) is a badminton player from China who specialises in women's and mixed doubles. She partnered Wang Xiaoli in women's doubles and excelled in the category until 2010 when both players are split after China failed to defend their Uber Cup against South Korea in Kuala Lumpur. Consequently, Ma Jin was unable to continue competing in the women's doubles event without her regular partner and she had to concentrate on mixed doubles instead. Ma Jin had tasted successes in mixed with several partners, notably Zheng Bo, He Hanbin and Xu Chen. Her domination at the front of the court combined with the power play from Xu Chen made them one of the most dominant Chinese pairs to date, the other being Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei. Yu Yang (badminton)
Yu Yang (; born 7 April 1986) is a retired Chinese badminton player specializing in doubles. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, three time World Champion and four time Asian Champion. Yu was part of the China winning team in four Sudirman Cup, three Uber Cup, two Asian Games, and in a Asia Team Championships. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. Wang Xiaoli
Wang Xiaoli (; born 24 June 1989) is a Chinese badminton player who is a doubles specialist. In 2012, she competed at the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Career In 2005, she joined the Chinese national second team and officially became the first team in 2008. Wang Xiaoli began her international career in 2009 when she paired with Tao Jiaming in mixed doubles and with Ma Jin in women's doubles. She quickly gained success with Ma Jin and culminated their career with a gold medal at the 2009 Asia Championships. In the middle of the 2010 season, Wang Xiaoli dropped mixed doubles from her repertoire of events and began competing in women's doubles with Yu Yang. Despite their short time together, Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang have reached the number one ranking in the world for their event. Kenichi Hayakawa
is a retired Japanese badminton player. He has been a runner-up of the All England three times (2013, 2014 and 2016) along with his partner, Hiroyuki Endo. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games. Career Hayakawa won the first point in the 2014 Thomas Cup finals with Hiroyuki Endo beating 2004 World Junior Champions Hoon Thien How and Tan Boon Heong and lead the momentum for the Japanese team to claim the Thomas Cup for the first time, being the fourth nation to win Thomas cup after Indonesia, China and Malaysia. He retired in November 2016 and currently is the coach for Japanese B national team.
