The 2013 BWF Super Series Finals was a top level badminton competition which was held from December 11 to December 15, 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The final was held by Badminton Association of Malaysia and sponsored by Malaysia. It was the final event of the BWF Super Series competition on the 2013 BWF Super Series schedule. The Stadium Badminton Kuala Lumpur was a now-demolished badminton arena located in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. History Built in 1990, the stadium can hold 4,500 spectators. Sung Ji-hyun (; born 29 July 1991) is a South Korean badminton player from Seoul. She is an Asian Championship gold medalist, a two-time Summer Universiade gold medalist, and a World Championship bronze medalist. Bae Yeon-ju (Hangul: 배연주, Hanja: 裵延姝; ; born 26 October 1990) is a retired international badminton player from South Korea. Career Bae started playing badminton at aged 10, and first gained international attention in 2006 when she reached the semifinals in the women's singles and won the gold medal as a member of the South Korean mixed team at the BWF World Junior Championships. Bae joined the South Korean national team in 2008 and in the same year she won her first international title at the Indonesia International tournament. Saina Nehwal (; born 17 March 1990) is an Indian professional badminton player. A former world no. 1, she has won 24 international titles, which includes ten Superseries titles. Although she reached the world's 2nd in 2009, it was only in 2015 that she was able to attain the world no. 1 ranking, thereby becoming the only female player from India and overall the second Indian player – after Prakash Padukone – to achieve this feat. Wang Shixian (; ; born 13 February 1990) is a retired Chinese professional badminton player. She is a former World No. 1 in women's singles.
