The 2013 season was Aalesund's 7th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, and their first season with Jan Jönsson as the club's manager. Aalesunds FK
Aalesunds Fotballklubb, commonly known as Aalesund or AaFK, is a Norwegian football club from the town of Ålesund, that competes in the Eliteserien, the first tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 25 June 1914. As of 2004, the football club had 835 members and several teams on both professional and amateur levels. These teams are the 1st and 2nd teams, junior team, and also several age-specific teams. History In 2009 the club won the Norwegian Cup for the first time in its history. They beat rival Molde FK in the Final, and thereby qualified for participation in the UEFA Europa League. Aalesund also won the 2011 Cup Final, where they beat SK Brann. IL Hødd
Idrottslaget Hødd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Founded in 1919, it has sections for team handball, gymnastics and football. It is best known for their men's football team, which since 2015 plays at Høddvoll, whose stated capacity is 4,081. The club's old home ground, Høddvoll Stadion, holds the record attendance of over 12,000 spectators at a match against Vålerenga in 1981. Hødd are currently playing in 2. divisjon, the third tier of Norwegian football. Christian Myklebust (born 11 March 1992) is a retired Norwegian footballer who played for Aalesunds FK. He played youth football for Skedsmo FK before joining Lillestrøm SK's recruit setup in 2009. Hugues Wembangomo
Hugues Wembangomo (born 10 May 1992) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a right back. He has previously played for Sarpsborg 08 and Aalesund, as well as represented Norway at youth international level. Club career Wembangomo was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and moved to Østfold in Norway with his family when he was nine years old. During his youth he played for Tveter IL and Borgen IL before he moved to the then second tier team Sarpsborg 08 in late 2008. In 2010, Sarpsborg was promoted to Tippeligaen and on 17 April 2011 he made his debut in Norway's top league when he replaced Berat Jusufi after 70 minutes in the match against Strømsgodset. Daniel Arnefjord (born 21 March 1979) is a Swedish footballer who last played for Aalesunds FK in the Norwegian Tippeligaen as a centre back. Career After several seasons in the lower divisions Arnefjord got his breakthrough after he was bought from FC Väsby United to AIK when AIK returned to Allsvenskan in 2006. A bitter moment in the 2006-season was a misunderstanding between Arnefjord and AIK's goalkeeper Daniel Örlund, which led to Arnefjord heading the ball into his one goal in the home-match against Helsingborgs IF. Sten Michael Grytebust (born 25 October 1989) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Aalesund. He previously played for Aalesunds FK in the Norwegian Tippeligaen and, until the end of the 2018–19 season, for Odense Boldklub in Denmark. He made his debut for the Norway national team in 2013.
