The 2012–13 season was Tottenham Hotspur's 21st season in the Premier League and 35th successive season in the top division of the English football league system. The campaign featured Tottenham's 11th appearance in the UEFA Europa League (formerly the UEFA Cup), entering the group stage due to finishing fourth in the 2011–12 Premier League season but missing out on qualification to the Champions League due to their London rivals Chelsea winning the Champions League trophy in 2012 but finishing outside of the top four positions in the Premier League. The 2012–13 season was the 133rd season of competitive football in England. The season began on 11 August 2012 for the Football Conference and 18 August 2012 for both the Premier League and The Football League. The regular season of the Football Conference season ended on 20 April 2013 followed by League One and League Two both ending on 27 April 2013 whilst The Championship ended on 4 May 2013 and finally the Premier League on 19 May 2013. English Football League System
The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing even the smallest club the theoretical possibility of ultimately rising to the very top of the system, the Premier League. Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor (; born 26 February 1984) is a Togolese professional footballer who plays as a striker for Togolese Championnat National club Semassi. Scott Parker
Scott Matthew Parker (born 13 October 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is currently the head coach of Club Brugge in Belgium. Parker began his career at Charlton Athletic, and was loaned to Norwich City, before joining Chelsea for a £10 million fee in January 2004. He did not play regularly at Chelsea, and moved to Newcastle United the following year, where he was made captain. Aaron Justin Lennon (; born 16 April 1987) is an English former professional footballer who played as a winger. Lennon began his career at hometown club Leeds United, making his first-team debut in 2003 and becoming the youngest player to play in the Premier League at that time. Jan Bert Lieve Vertonghen (born 24 April 1987) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays for Belgian club Anderlecht and the Belgium national team. Mainly a central defender, he can also play as a left-back. Younes Kaboul (born 4 January 1986) is a French former professional footballer who played as a centre-back for Auxerre, Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Sunderland and Watford. Daniel Lee Rose (born 2 July 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back. He last played for EFL Championship club Watford.
