2012–13 Texas Longhorns Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Texas Longhorns men's basketball team represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Rick Barnes, who was in his 15th year. The team played its home games at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas and were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 7–11 in Big 12 play to finish in seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament to Kansas State. Texas received an invitation to the 2013 College Basketball Invitational and became the first Big 12 team to participate in the postseason tournament's six-year history. J'Covan Marquis Brown (born February 14, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Winston Churchill High School (San Antonio)
Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, Texas is part of the North East Independent School District. It is named after Sir Winston Churchill, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The school serves portions of the city of San Antonio along with the towns of Hill Country Village and Hollywood Park. Forward–center or bigman is a basketball position for players who play or have played both forward and center on a consistent basis. Typically, this means power forward and center, since these are usually the two biggest player positions on any basketball team, and therefore more often overlap each other. Alexis Mang-Ikri Wangmene (born March 1, 1989) is a Cameroonian professional basketball player who plays for FAP of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
