2012–13 Super League Of Malawi
The 2012–13 TNM Super League was the 27th season of the Super League of Malawi, the top professional league for association football clubs in Malawi since its establishment in 1986. It started on 26 May 2012 and was ended on 22 February 2013. Silver Strikers were the defending champions. The Bankers successfully defended their Super League title at goal difference a week before the end of the season. Teams Fifteen teams compete in this season: the top twelve teams from the previous season and three promoted teams from the regional leagues. Kamuzu Barracks (Central Region Football League), Bvumbwe Research (Southern Region Football League) and Kabwafu United (Northern Region Football League) entered as the three promoted teams, instead of the three relegated teams from previous season, Cobbe Barracks, Zomba United and Embangweni United. Super League Of Malawi
Super League of Malawi, also known as the TNM Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top football division in Malawi. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Malawi Regional Football Leagues. Malawian mobile telecommunications company TNM sponsors the league with K65 million annually. History It was created in 1986 and was first sponsored by Gillet Nacet. It was composed of eight teams: five teams from Blantyre and Districts Football League (BDFL) and three teams from Lilongwe and Districts Football League (LDFL). The eight inaugural members of the Super League of Malawi were Bata Bullets, Limbe Leaf Wanderers, MDC United, Red Lions, ADMARC Tigers, Silver Strikers, Civo United and MITCO. Embangweni United
The town of Embangweni is located in the Mzimba district in the Northern Region of Malawi. Its population is approximately 5,000 people. Embangweni is some two hours away from Mzuzu. It contains a Hospital, Church, School for the Hard of Hearing, Robert Laws Secondary School and a primary school. Nyasa Big Bullets is a Malawian professional association football club based in Blantyre, Malawi, Blantyre, currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. The club was formerly known as Bata Bullets, Total Big Bullets and Bakili Bullets. Red Lions Football Club is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Zomba, Southern Region and currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. EPAC United Football Club was a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe and played its home matches at the 25,000 capacity Civo Stadium. The club played eight seasons in the Super League of Malawi, the top division of Malawian football. History The club was founded in 1995 as Pakeeza FC and played in the Regional Football Leagues of Malawi. Kamuzu Barracks Football Club are a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe and currently playing in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. Civil Service United Football Club-Civo (CIVO United), which represents Civil Services, is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe area 9, the team currently plays in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawi football. Blue Eagles Football Club is a Malawian football (soccer) club based in Lilongwe that currently plays in the TNM Super League, the top division of Malawian football. History Blue Eagles FC was founded in 1988 and is sponsored by the Malawi Police Service as tool to bring interaction between the community they serve and them.
