2012–13 Sultan Qaboos Cup
The 2012–13 Sultan Qaboos Cup was the 40th edition of the Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Oman. The competition began on 30 November 2012 with the Round of 32 and concluded on 26 May 2013. Dhofar S.C.S.C. were the defending champions, having won their eighth title in 2011. On Sunday 26 May 2013, Al-Suwaiq Club were crowned the champions of the 2012 Sultan Qaboos Cup when they defeated Al-Nahda Club 2-0, hence winning the title for the third time. Al-Suwaiq Club ( ar, نادي السويق) is an Omani sports club based in Al-Suwaiq. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Seeb Stadium. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities. History The club was founded on 28 February 1972 and was registered on 26 June 2002. Al-Shabab Club ( ar, نادي الشباب) is an Omani sports club based in Barka, Oman. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Seeb Stadium. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities. Seeb, Oman
Al-Seeb, As Seeb or As Sib ( ar, السيب) is a coastal fishing city, located several kilometres northwest of Muscat, in northeastern Oman. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 470,878. Sur, Oman
Sur ( ar, صُوْر, Ṣūr) is the capital city of Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, and the former capital of Ash Sharqiyah Region in northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. Al-Oruba Sports Club was a Qatari football club. The football club merged with Al-Nasour to form a new football club named Al-Esteqlal, now known as Qatar SC. It was a founding member of the Q-League and it has won five consecutive Q-League titles. History Early career Al Oruba was founded in 1959. The idea of founding the club came from Abdulaziz bin Jassim.
