2012–13 SpVgg Greuther Fürth Season
The 2012–13 SpVgg Greuther Fürth season is the 110th season in the club's football history. In 2012–13 the club plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of German football. It is the clubs first-ever season in this league, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga in 2012. The club also took part in the 2012–13 edition of the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, where it was knocked out in the first round by third division side Kickers Offenbach. SpVgg Greuther Fürth
Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth (), commonly known as Greuther Fürth (), is a German football club based in Fürth, Bavaria. They play in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of the German football league system, following relegation from the Bundesliga in the 2021–22 season. Founded in 1903, the most successful era for Greuther Fürth came in the pre-Bundesliga era in the 1910s and 1920s, when the club won three German championships in 1914, 1926, and 1929 respectively and finished as runners-up in 1920. In the 2012–13 season, the club played in the Bundesliga for the first time, having won promotion from the 2. Bundesliga; it was relegated back to the 2. Bundesliga at the end of the season. Tayfun Pektürk (born 13 May 1988) is a German-Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Mittelrheinliga club SV Eintracht Hohkeppel. Career Born in Wermelskirchen, Pektürk began his career in 1994 with SV Wermelskirchen. In 2004, he signed for third division side Wuppertaler SV Borussia. Sebastian Tyrała
Sebastian Tyrała (born 22 February 1988) is a Polish former professional footballer. He played primarily as an attacking midfielder. Club career Tyrała was born in Racibórz, Poland. He moved to Borussia Dortmund as an 11-year-old boy and passed through all the youth ranks. He was named Sportsman of 2004 in Soest. At age 16, he was selected for Borussia Dortmund's Senior squad. But in 2005, he ruptured the cruciate ligament in his left knee and was sidelined for six months. Tyrała was honoured by the German Football Association (DFB) with a third place in the category "under 17s" in 2005. Kingsley Onuegbu (born 5 March 1986) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Qingdao Hainiu in China League One. Career Onuegbu played street football in Nigeria, before his football career began in Germany in the summer of 2005 with SC Idar-Oberstein. Christopher Nöthe (born 3 January 1988) is a German professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Born in Castrop-Rauxel, North Rhine-Westphalia, Nöthe made his debut on the professional league level in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund on 29 September 2007 coming on as a substitute in the 74th minute in a game against Karlsruher SC. Ilir Azemi (born 21 February 1992) is a Kosovar former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Early career Azemi began his career at local side Motor Gispersleben as a child where he remained until he was spotted by Greuther Fürth scouts in 2007.
