The 2012–13 season is Kitchee SC's 82nd season in football, and the 34th season in the Hong Kong First Division League. Kitchee started as defending champions having won the league, as well as the Hong Kong FA Cup in 2011–12, and was looking to retain their title. Kitchee Sports Club (; ; ) is a Hong Kong professional Association football, football club based in Kowloon. It was founded in 1931 and currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League. The club has won championships in Hong Kong 11 times, including 6 Hong Kong First Division titles and 5 Hong Kong Premier League titles. It also won the Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield, Hong Kong Senior Shield 7 times and the Hong Kong FA Cup 6 times. In the last 10 years, Kitchee won over than 50% of all possible trophies competed in Hong Kong. The club is also the first team from Hong Kong to win a game in AFC Champions League group stage and the first Hong Kong club to advance to the round of 16. Hong Kong First Division League
The Hong Kong First Division League () is the second-highest division in the Hong Kong football league system. Established in 1908, it is the third oldest in Asia. The league was formerly the highest division in Hong Kong until the formation of the Hong Kong Premier League in 2014. Since 1908, a total of 29 clubs have been crowned champions of the Hong Kong football system. South China are the most successful club, having won 41 times since their first participation in 1941. Competition format Each team plays the other teams in the division twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. The top two teams in the league are offered promotion to the Premier League while the bottom two are relegated to the Hong Kong Second Division. Sun Pegasus FC
Hong Kong Pegasus FC () are a Hong Kong football club based in Yuen Long. Founded in 2008, the club currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History TSW Pegasus was established in June 2008, and they had their first season in 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League with a budget of about HKD$10,000,000. On 21 December 2008, Pegasus won their first trophy, defeating Sun Hei in the 2008 Senior Shield Final. In July 2012, the club was renamed as Sun Pegasus following introduction of a new sponsor. After the 2014–15 season, Sun International Resources Limited withdrew their sponsorship. Their club was renamed Hong Kong Pegasus following a takeover by Canny Leung. Ngan Lok Fung
Ngan Lok Fung (; born 26 January 1993 in Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Hong Kong Premier League club Lee Man. Club career Ngan joined the Kitchee's youth team when he was 13 years old. He helped the team to win the champions of Nike Premier Cup U-15 section, as well as being named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Since then, he featured in some Reserves match for Kitchee as a youth team player. He was promoted to the first team before the start of 2011–12 season. On 3 September 2011, he featured in the first match of the season as a starter. However, he was substituted after the first half. Hong Kong Sapling
Hong Kong Sapling Football Club () are a Hong Kong football club which does not currently compete in the Hong Kong football league system. History On 11 August 2011, Mutual withdrew from the Hong Kong First Division League due to financial problems. The Hong Kong Football Association then decided to form a team for training youngsters for the 2013 East Asian Games, as well as to replace Mutual. The club was named as Hong Kong Sapling, but was dissolved in 2012. In the run up to the 2016–17 season, Metro Gallery were forced to voluntarily relegate to the First Division due to financial difficulties. Hong Kong Sapling were reformed in order to fill the void left by Metro Gallery and were able to secure funding from two sponsors, Biu Chun and GlorySky Group, competing under the name Biu Chun Glory Sky until the end of the season. Li Ngai Hoi
Li Ngai Hoi (; born 15 October 1994) is a Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays as a centre back. Early career Li was a student of Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial Secondary School and is under their youth football academy scheme with Kitchee. He also plays for the school's football team. Tsang Kin Fong
Tsang Kin Fong (; born 2 January 1993) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer. His elder brother, Tsang Chi Hau, is also a former professional footballer. Club career Tsang was one of Kitchee's youth team player, who won the champion of U-15 group. He had his secondary school life at Lam Tai Fai College. He represented the college in the HKSSF football section. He had also transferred to Shatin, which is led by Lam Tai Fai, helping Shatin to win the 2008/09 Hong Kong Second Division League. He finally got his first chance to play in the Hong Kong First Division. He played his first Hong Kong First Division League match during match against South China. Shatin placed ninth out of ten teams, which was relegated to the Hong Kong Second Division League. Tsang Chi Hau
Tsang Chi Hau ( ; born 12 January 1990 in Hong Kong) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer. His younger brother, Tsang Kin Fong, is also a former professional footballer. Club career Hong Kong 09 Tsang Chi Hau joined Hong Kong 09 in 2005, but then the team is dissolved because of the formation of Hong Kong C Team in 2007. Workable In 2007, Tsang Chi Hau joined the newly promoted team Workable after leaving Hong Kong 09. He was selected into match squad for 4 league games, although he did not feature any matches. Sun Hei Sports Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top flight, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League. Cheng Siu Wai
Henry Cheng Siu Wai (, born 27 December 1981) is a former Hong Kongese professional footballer who played as a striker. Early life Cheng Siu Wai is born to a Hong Kongese father and a Thai mother. They separated when he was a young boy, his mother returned to Thailand and he grew up in a single parent family in a housing estate in Sheung Shui.
