2012–13 Pakistan Premier League
The 2012–13 Pakistan Premier League was the 9th season of the Pakistan Premier League, the Pakistani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2004. The season began on 5 September 2012 and ended on 15 January 2013. Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, having won their second Premier League title the previous season. This was their second top division league title. On 13 January 2013, Khan Research Laboratories won their third Premier League title and Pakistani titles after drawing 0–0 with Pakistan Airlines at KPT Stadium. Kaleemullah Khan became the first player to score 30+ goals in a Pakistan Premier League season, after scoring 35 goals. Khurshed Makhmudov
Khurshed Mahmudov (born 8 August 1982) is a Tajikistani footballer who plays Tajik League side Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda, and is a former member of the Tajikistan national football team. Career In February 2014, after 12 years with Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda, Makhmudov signed for FC Istiklol. 2014 AFC Challenge Cup Qualification
The 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualification phase determined the teams which advanced to the final tournament. The qualification draw was held on 11 December 2012, in AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Qualified nations ;Notes Format Twenty teams expressed their interest to take part before the deadline of 7 September 2012. The Northern Mariana Islands national football team, Northern Mariana Islands made their Challenge Cup debut after having been approved by the AFC to participate (the Northern Mariana Islands is an associate member of the AFC). It was decided that starting from this tournament, an automatic qualification place will be given to the AFC Challenge Cup host. Ali Ashfaq (; born 6 September 1985) is a Maldivian professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains the Maldives national team. Nicknamed "Man of Steel" (), he is regarded as one of the best players in the South Asian region. A prolific and individualistic goalscorer, he is a free-kick specialist and a clinical finisher. Mohamed Umair (born 3 July 1988) is a Maldivian professional footballer. In his career Umair has played as a defender, midfielder, and forward. International career Umair made his debut for Maldives on 8 October 2007, in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Yemem and later he was substituted for Mukhthar Naseer in the 60th minute at the Ali Muhsin Al-Muriasi Stadium. He has represented his country at the 2011 SAFF Championship and the 2013 SAFF Championship. In the latter tournament he scored a goal from a free kick against Bhutan to tie the score up at 2–2. Asadhulla Abdulla (born 19 October 1990) is a Maldivian footballer who plays for Maziya.
