Fleetwood Town F
Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the 2011 census. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. He commissioned the Victorian architect Decimus Burton to design a number of substantial civic buildings, including two lighthouses. Hesketh-Fleetwood's transport terminus schemes failed to materialise. The town expanded greatly in the first half of the 20th century with the growth of the fishing industry, and passenger ferries to the Isle of Man, to become a deep-sea fishing port. Decline of the fishing industry began in the 1960s, hastened by the Cod Wars with Iceland, though fish processing is still a major economic activity in Fleetwood. Scott Davies (footballer Born 1987)
Scott David Davies (born 23 February 1987) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Davies began his career at Morecambe in the Conference Premier. In 2010, he moved to local rival Fleetwood. He spent time on loan at Morecambe in his fourth season, before spending half of the season at Fleetwood's other local rival Accrington Stanley in 2015. Chris Maxwell (footballer)
Christopher Ethan Maxwell (born 30 July 1990) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Blackpool. He has represented Wales at age group level but not in a full competitive international level meaning he is still eligible to represent England and Scotland via his ancestry. Maxwell began his career at Wrexham where he made his professional debut 18 years old in the 2008–09 season before moving to newly promoted League club Fleetwood Town in May 2012. Andy Mangan
Andrew Francis Mangan (born 30 August 1986) is an English former footballer who played as a striker. He is currently a first-team coach at Bristol Rovers. Career Blackpool Born in Liverpool, Mangan began his career with Blackpool at the age of 15. He was with the club for three years, scoring 49 goals in reserve and youth team football. Mangan made his professional debut at the age of 17 in a 1–0 defeat to Chesterfield on 24 April 2004. Barry Nicholson (born 24 August 1978) is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played as a midfielder. He is currently in charge of Fleetwood Town's development squad and also served as caretaker manager of the first team squad. He started his professional career with Rangers and went on to play over 100 games for each of Dunfermline Athletic, Aberdeen and Preston North End. Daniel Stephen Rose (born 21 February 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Darlington, where he is also a first-team coach. A former captain of Manchester United Reserves, Rose joined Oxford United in 2007 following a four-month loan spell. He switched to Newport County the following year, and helped Newport to the Conference South title in 2009–10.
