2012–13 Eerste Divisie
The 2012–13 Eerste Divisie, known as Jupiler League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifty-seventh season of Eerste Divisie since its establishment in 1955. It began on 10 August 2012 with the first matches of the season and ended on 26 May 2013 with the returns of the finals of the promotion/relegation play-offs, also involving the 16th- and 17th-placed teams from the 2012–13 Eredivisie. On 3 May 2013, during the last round of the regular season, SC Cambuur secured the championship and the only direct promotion berth. Go Ahead Eagles won promotion to the Eredivisie in the play-offs. Teams A total of 18 teams took part in the league. PEC Zwolle were promoted from the Eerste Divisie as 2011–12 champions and replaced by bottom-placed Eredivisie SBV Excelsior, whereas Willem II won a top flight place in the ''nacompetitie'', replacing De Graafschap, who were eliminated from the post-season playoff and therefore relegated to Eerste Divisie for this season. Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. FC Eindhoven is a Dutch football club based in Eindhoven, North Brabant. They currently play in the Eerste Divisie (second tier of Dutch football), and are one of two professional clubs which are based in the city of Eindhoven, the other one being PSV Eindhoven. The Sportpark Berg & Bos is a football complex located in the Dutch city Apeldoorn. It is the home port of AGOVV. AGOVV has been playing at Sportpark Berg en Bos in the neighbourhood of the same name in the west of Apeldoorn since 1921. The sports park is located in a wooded area and is adjacent to Apenheul. Apeldoorn (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. Sportclub Veendam () was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J.
