2012–13 Bradford City A.F.C. Season
The 2012–13 season was the 110th season in the history of Bradford City, 98th in the Football League and 100th in the league system of English football. Their finish in 18th place in the 2011–12 season resulted in the club's sixth successive season in League Two. Pre-season and friendlies Bradford City started their season with a friendly against Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Tadcaster Albion; the League Two team were dominant throughout the game, eventually ending up as 7-1 victors. Phil Parkinson's men then travelled over for a pre-season tour of Ireland, where they would come up against Wexford Youths and Bray Wanderers. Bradford returned to Yorkshire at the start of August to face local team Guiseley before heading to Greater Manchester to play Bury. Guiseley ( ) is a town in metropolitan borough of the City of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is situated south of Otley and Menston and is now a north-western suburb of Leeds. It sits in the Guiseley and Rawdon ward of Leeds City Council and the Pudsey parliamentary constituency. The Northern Counties East Football League is a semi-professional English football league. It has two divisions – Premier Division and Division One – which stand at the ninth and tenth levels of the football pyramid respectively.
