2012–13 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2012–13 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season marks the 37th season of Atlantic 10 Conference basketball. The season marks the first for new members Butler and VCU, and the last for departing members Temple and Charlotte. The 2013 Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament will be held for the first time at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Preseason Prior to the season, the Atlantic 10 welcomed new members, Butler and VCU. The two schools joined the conference immediately, rather than waiting a season as Butler initially intended, because they "weren't going to be allowed to play in the respective conference tournaments." Ronald Nored
Ronald Nored (born March 1, 1990) is an American basketball coach, currently an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously he served as the head coach of the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League, and an assistant coach for the Maine Red Claws of the Boston Celtics organization. He is a former point guard for Butler University's basketball team. Khalif Wyatt
Khalif Wyatt (born June 10, 1991) is an American professional basketball player who last played for SCM U Craiova in the Liga Națională. He was the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year as a college basketball senior in the 2012–13 season, after leading the Owls to the Round of 32 in the 2013 NCAA tournament. Wyatt led Temple in scoring in his final college season, with a 20.5 points per game average. High school Wyatt attended Norristown Area High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania from 2005–06 to 2008–09. In his junior season he averaged 18.0 points while guiding them to a 33–2 record. The Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represents Xavier University (Cincinnati), Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference, and are coached by Sean Miller. Rick Majerus
Richard Raymond Majerus (February 17, 1948 – December 1, 2012) was an American basketball coach and TV analyst. He coached at Marquette University (1983–1986), Ball State University (1987–1989), the University of Utah (1989–2004), and Saint Louis University (2007–2012). Majerus's most successful season came at Utah in the 1997–98 season, when the Utes finished as runners-up in the 1998 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. Brian Conklin (born September 5, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for FC Porto of the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol. He played college basketball for Saint Louis University and has since played in New Zealand, Australia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, France, and Turkey. Saint Louis Billikens Men's Basketball
The Saint Louis Billikens men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Saint Louis University. They compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Saint Joseph's Hawks Men's Basketball
The Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball team represents Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Andrew Fabian Nicholson (born December 8, 1989) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Bay Area Dragons of the EASL. He played college basketball for St. Bonaventure University before being drafted 19th overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. Chaz Calvaron Williams (born April 6, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Njarðvík of the Úrvalsdeild karla. He played college basketball for University of Massachusetts (UMass) and was considered one of the top point guards in the nation for the 2013–14 season. College career Williams was a two-time conference player of the year at Bishop Ford High School in Brooklyn, New York. The UMass Minutemen basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, in NCAA Division I men's college basketball.
