2012–13 AZAL PFC Season
The AZAL 2012–13 season was AZAL's eighth Azerbaijan Premier League season and their first season with Vagif Sadygov as manager. They participated in the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League, finishing 7th in the initial 22 game championship. They then went unbeaten, winning nine and drawing one, as the finished top of the Relegation Group with 57 points, 17 points clear of 8th placed Khazar Lankaran. They took part in the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Cup, which they were knocked out of at the second round stage by Simurq. Shuvalan FK ( az, Şüvəlan Futbol Klubu, ) is an Azerbaijani football club based in Şüvəlan, Baku. The club was renamed four times in its short history becoming Olimpik Baku, Olimpik-Shuvalan Baku, AZAL and Shuvalan. UEFA is still recognizing the club as Olimpik-Shuvalan at European competitions. The club is also a member of the European Club Association, an organization that replaced the previous G-14 which consists of major football clubs in Europe. Javid Taghiyev ( az, Cavid Tağıyev, born on 22 July 1992) is an Azerbaijani professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Azerbaijan Premier League side Sabah FK. Ravan Baku FK ( az, Rəvan Futbol Klubu) is an Azerbaijani football club, based in Baku, that plays in the Azerbaijan First Division. History The club was founded in 2009. In May 2011, team secured their promotion to Azerbaijan Premier League after clinching second place in Azerbaijan First Division. In club's debut 2011–12 season, Ravan ended in 8th position in Azerbaijan Premier League, the club's highest ever league finish. Following season, the club repeated its record by finishing 8th once again. Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros (), Fradi, or simply FTC, is a professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. Club de Fútbol La Nucía is a Spanish football team based in La Nucía, in the autonomous community of Valencia. Saşa Yunisoğlu or Sasha Yunisoglu (born 18 December 1985 in Mykolaiv, now Ukraine) is an Azerbaijani footballer. Career Club Yunisoğlu started his career with Azerbaijani side MKT-Araz Imishli. He moved to Dyskobolia of Poland in the summer of 2007, after a match between the two clubs. He debuted in Ekstraklasa in the game versus Zagłębie Lubin on 7 October 2007. He was the second Azerbaijani to have played in Ekstraklasa. Dyskobolia finished third in the 2007-08 Ekstraklasa season. On 9 January 2009, he returned to Azerbaijan for FC Baku. Andrius Velička (born 5 April 1979) is a Lithuanian retired professional association footballer who played as a striker for clubs in Russia, Kazakhstan, Scotland, England, Norway and Azerbaijan in addition to his homeland. Vladimir "Guma" Bogdanović ( sr-Cyrl, Владимир Богдановић, ; born 5 October 1986) is a Serbian footballer who plays for FC Petrocub Hîncești in the Moldovan National Division.
