2012–13 1. Liga Promotion
The 2012–13 season of the 1. Liga Promotion was the initial season of this league, the 3rd division of Swiss Football and is the third level of the football hierarchy in Switzerland, behind the Super League and the Challenge League. The Championship had 16 teams and each team played 30 games. The champions of this division would be promoted and the last two teams would be relegated. Formation In the summer of 2012, the Swiss Football Association restructured their league system. The top tier, Super League, remained unchanged. The second tier, Challenge League, was reduced from 16 to 10 teams. A new division was introcuced to become the new third highest tier. Initially introduced as the ''1. Liga Promotion'', two years later it would be renamed to Promotion League. The existing 1. Liga was subsequently the fourth tier and renamed to ''1. Liga Classic''. SC Kriens
SC Kriens is a football club based in Kriens, Switzerland, who currently play in the Swiss Challenge League. They currently play at the Stadion Kleinfeld and form a local rivalry with FC Lucerne. SC Kriens women's team plays in the Nationalliga A since 2008. History The first club to be formed in Kriens was created in 1920 as ''Fussball Club Kriens'', albeit folding in 1926, and succeeded by ''Rasensportclub Kriens'' between 1931 and 1939. Youth Campus Basel
The Stiftung Nachwuchs Campus Basel, in English foundation Youth Campus Basel, was brought to life by Gigi Oeri in 2010, with the aim of continuously developing FC Basel’s youth division on a long-term basis. The foundation is registered with the Swiss company register. The foundation built and now runs the campus grounds; they rebuilt and run the ''Wohnhuus'' and they aid in the administration of the youth department. The foundation aids in the integral training and promotion of young football talents. FC Basel’s youth department enjoys superior status. Since FC Basel moved into the newly built St. Jakob-Park in 2001, over 40 youth players have advanced to their first team. Stadion Rankhof
Stadion Rankhof is a football stadium in Basel, Switzerland. It has a capacity of 7,600 with 1,000 seats and 6,600 standing places. The record attendance of the original stadium was about 30,000 spectators. The stadium was rebuilt between 1993 and 1995. The stands face south towards the grass pitch. The north side of the stadium is completely constructed of glass to protect against the wind. The dimension of the pitch is 100 x 64 metres. It has a grass surface and flood-lighting. The second pitch, north of the stands, is the same size and also has flood-lighting. Rankhof has four training and one synthetic pitch, this also has flood-lights.
