	Television In Estonia Television in Estonia was introduced in 1955, following the Soviet government's decision to establish a television station in 1953. The National TV Channel ETV has maintained an archive since 1955 in which broadcasts of unique aspects of Estonian culture are held. Northern Estonia receives television signals from Finland. During the 1970s and 1980s, Finnish broadcasts were more popular than Soviet-Estonian offerings until the Singing Revolution, with many Estonians enjoying ''Dallas'' and other programs portraying non-Communist lifestyles. Digital television was officially launched on December 15, 2006 when the operator Eesti Digitaaltelevisiooni AS launched its pay service ZUUMtv, operated by Starman, on two multiplexes. 	Eesti Otsib Superstaari (season 3) The third season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' premiered on September 6, 2009. The winner of the season was Ott Lepland. In Autumn 2008 TV3 announced that the third season would be postponed. The show was replaced by new show ''Eesti otsib lemmiklaulu (Estonia is looking for a favourite song)''. In June 2009 TV3 announced that the auditions for third season will start in August 2009. In July 2009, Estonian Public Broadcasting (ERR) announced that one of the judges, Heidy Purga, is not allowed to take part of that program. Purga is a director of ERR's radio station, Raadio 2. ERR explained that the decision was made, because there is a lot work to do in Raadio 2 at the moment and they will not allow Purga to take part in competitors program. Several days later TV3 announced new hosts and a new judge. The hosts for the third season are a Eurovision Song Contest-winning rockstar Tanel Padar and singer Ithaka Maria. 	Ott Lepland Ott Lepland (born 17 May 1987) is an Estonian singer. He first received national mainstream attention in 2009, after winning the third season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari''. Lepland represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song "'' Kuula''" placing 6th in the final. Biography Lepland has been singing since he was a child. He released four albums with children songs in 1995 and 1996. At the moment Lepland is studying at Georg Ots' Tallinn Music School pop and jazz singing. He has also studied piano for ten years. Ott has performed in several plays, including the role of Troy Bolton in Estonian State Puppet & Youth Theatre's musical, the Estonian version of ''High School Musical''. In 2010, Lepland released his self-titled first album after winning the Estonian version of Pop Idol. 	Kuula (song) Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Kuula" written by Ott Lepland and Aapo Ilves. The song was performed by Ott Lepland. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2012'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2012 contest in Baku, Azerbaijan. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. 	Rasmus Rändvee Rasmus Simon Rändvee (born 28 November 1995, in Pärnu) is an Estonian singer. He is best known for winning the Eesti otsib superstaari (season 5), fifth season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari''. He attended Pärnu Gymnasium and, in 2015, graduated from the Pärnu Sütevaka Humanitarian Gymnasium. Rändvee currently sings in the Pärnu-based band Facelift Deer and, with the band, took part in the Eesti Laul 2013, 2013 edition of Eesti Laul, the Estonian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song ''Dance'', and placed 7th in the final. 	Eesti Otsib Superstaari (season 5) The fifth season of '' Eesti otsib superstaari'' premiered on September 2, 2012, on TV3. On May 30, 2011, TV3 announced that the fifth season for ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' will start in autumn 2012. Two of three judges from the fourth season, Mihkel Raud and Maarja-Liis Ilus continued their job in the fifth season. Rein Rannap, one of the judges from the first series, was replaced by Mart Sander, Estonian singer, actor, director, author and television host.
