2012 World Junior Championships In Athletics
The 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes qualifying as juniors (born 1993 or later) which was held at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, on 10–15 July 2012. A total of 44 athletics events were contested at the championships, 22 by male and 22 by female athletes. Aaron Troy Ernest (born November 8, 1993) is an American sprinter who specializes in the 100 meters and 200 metres. He went to Homewood high school and competed for the LSU Tigers from 2012 to 2015. Nijel Carlos Amilfitano Amos (born 15 March 1994) is a Motswana middle-distance runner who competes in the 800 metres. Aldrich Bailey Jr. (born February 6, 1994) is an American sprinter. He graduated from Mansfield Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas in 2012, and was committed to Texas A&M University in 2012. In 2014 Bailey transferred to the University of Texas as a Track and Field Athlete. On April 28, 2012, Bailey broke the U.S. High School Record in the 400 metres, previously held by Calvin Harrison of North Salinas High School, at the Texas Class 5A Region I meet in Lubbock, Texas.
