The Women's Allam British Open 2012 is the women's edition of the 2012 British Open Squash Championships, which is a WSA World Series event Platinum (Prize money: $95 000). The event took place at the O2 in London in England from 15–20 May. Nicol David won her fourth British Open trophy, beating Nour El Sherbini in the final. The British Open Squash Championships is the oldest tournament in the game of squash. Samantha Terán
Samantha Terán Quintanilla (born May 6, 1981, in Mexico City) is a professional female squash player who represents Mexico. Teran first joined the WISPA Tour in 2000, and she entered the world top twenty for the first time in 2008 as she won the eighth and ninth Tour titles of her career. These followed two in 2007, the Gannon Open and Toronto Open, in both events beating American Latasha Khan in the final. In early 2008 it was Khan who was despatched in the finals of the Liberty Bell and Windy City Opens in the United States. The Mexican did it again in May to win the Subway Goshen Open, but this time Khan was beaten in the semis. Alison Waters
Alison Waters (born 19 March 1984 in London) is a former professional squash player from England. Career As a junior player, Waters won her first major squash tournament – the British Under-12 title – at the age of nine-and-a-half. She retained the title the following year. She was a three-time runner-up at the British Open Under-14 Championships. She won her first professional title in 2005 at the Forbes Open, beating Carla Khan in the final. Waters won the British National Squash Championships in February 2010, beating Jenny Duncalf in the final 10–12, 11–7, 4–11, 11–7, 12–10. Sarah Campion (born 10 May 1983 in Chester), also known by her former name Sarah Kippax, is former professional squash player who represented England Career Based in Halifax became the first English woman in almost ten years to win three successive women's world tour titles when she clinched the Malco Open in Sweden in March 2009. Jaclyn Hawkes
Jaclyn Hawkes (born 3 December 1982 in Hong Kong) is a New Zealand professional squash (sport), squash player. Hawkes grew up in Hong Kong and lived there until she was 15 when she moved to New Zealand. She started playing squash aged five because her mother Julie Hawkes was a New Zealand representative and is an ex-World Masters champion. While Hawkes played squash when she was younger she was much more keen on playing tennis (her father Richard Hawkes (tennis), Richard was a Davis Cup player for New Zealand), hockey and netball.
