2012 Winter Cup
The 2012 Winter Cup was an artistic gymnastics competition held at the Las Vegas Sports Center in Las Vegas from February 2 to February 4, 2012. Competition The finals session featured the top 42 gymnasts according to their all-around ranking and the top three gymnasts on each apparatus. The all-around and individual event champions were determined via a combined two-day score. Performances at the Winter Cup helped determine eight men who comprised the United States men's national gymnastics team at the 2012 U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. Chris Brooks (gymnast)
Christopher Brooks (born December 19, 1986 in Houston, Texas) is a retired American gymnast, now assistant coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks NCAA gymnastics team. He won four gold medals at the 2012 Pacific Rim Championships. He has trained alongside Olympic and World Championships medalist Jonathan Horton as a junior, college and senior elite gymnast. On August 17, 2017, he announced his retirement from artistic gymnastics. Early life Brooks was a highly ranked junior gymnast in high school, where he trained at Houston North gymnastics club, under coach Bill Foster. He was a member of the U.S. junior national team 1999–2001, 2002–2005. In 2003, he was a gold medalist at the USA national championships. Sam Mikulak
Samuel Anthony Mikulak (born October 13, 1992) is a retired American artistic gymnast. He is a six-time U.S. national all-around champion (2013–2016, 2018–2019), the 2018 World bronze medalist on high bar, and a three-time Olympian (2012, 2016, and 2020). He is also an eight-time NCAA champion, winning the team, individual all-around and several individual event titles at the 2011, 2013 and 2014 NCAA Men's Gymnastics championships. Paul Ruggeri III (born November 12, 1988) is a senior elite American gymnast who competed for the University of Illinois and is currently training at the USOTC in Colorado Springs, CO. Childhood Ruggeri is the grandson of an Italian immigrant. His father was a swimmer and his aunt a gymnast. He attended Fayetteville Manlius High School in his home town of Manlius, New York.
