2012 Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic
The 2012 Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic was a preseason soccer tournament held at Walt Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The tournament, the third edition of the Pro Soccer Classic, was held from February 24 to March 3 and featured six Major League Soccer clubs along with one USL Pro club and one Swedish Allsvenskan club. The tournament was won by the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, who defeated Toronto FC 1–0 in the final. Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The MLS iteration of the club was established on March 18, 2009, and began play in 2011 as the 17th team to enter Major League Soccer while replacing the USSF Division 2 team of the same name in the city, making them a phoenix club and the third to carry the Whitecaps name. The club has been owned and managed by the same group since their USSF days. In the 2012 season, the team became the first Canadian team to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. Bollklubben Häcken, more commonly known as BK Häcken or simply Häcken (), is a Swedish professional association football, football club based in Gothenburg. Torsten Klaus Frings (born 22 November 1976) is a German former footballer and manager, who last managed SV Meppen. Miguel Ángel Aceval Muñoz (born 8 January 1983) is a Chilean former footballer who played as a centre back. Career Professional Aceval began in the youth system of Colo-Colo and made his professional debut on August 18, 2001 with Colo-Colo against Huachipato. Kevin Reginald Molino (born 17 June 1990) is a Trinidadian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew and the Trinidad and Tobago national team. William Christopher Bruin (born October 24, 1989) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC. Patrice Bernier (born September 23, 1979) is a Canadian retired professional soccer player. A long-time mainstay of the Canada national team, the midfielder played the majority of his career with Montreal Impact in addition to playing in Denmark, Germany, and Norway. Michael Fucito (born March 29, 1986) is a retired American soccer player. Career High School and College Fucito played for the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts for three years where he was senior Captain.
