The 2012 Visa U.S. National Gymnastics Championships was the 49th edition of the U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. The competition was held from June 7–10, 2012 at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. Event information The forty-ninth edition of the Championships, the competition was held at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, a multi-purpose arena located on the Saint Louis University campus. The competition was televised by NBC Sports Network. Competition schedule The competition featured Senior and Junior competitions for both women's and men's disciplines. Anna Li
Anna Li (born September 4, 1988) is an American retired artistic gymnast. She was an 8-time All-American gymnast while competing in the NCAA and a member of the UCLA Bruins women's gymnastics team that won the 2010 NCAA National Championship title. She was on the US National Team in 2011 - 2012. Her parents, Li Yuejiu and Wu Jiani were Olympic gymnasts who competed for China at the 1984 Summer Olympics and are also her coaches. She has a younger sister, Andrea Li, who is also a gymnast. While training as a Level 10 and Elite gymnast she attended and graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. Steven Legendre
Steven Legendre (born May 5, 1989) is an American gymnast who competed for the University of Oklahoma Sooners men's gymnastic team from 2008 to 2011 and is a member of the U.S. National Team. Early years Steven was born to Raymond and Lisa Legendre, and has 2 sisters (Jaime and Jessica) and one brother, Michael. Jessica played softball for the University of Oklahoma. He attended Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in Port Jefferson, New York, where he competed on the wrestling team, and then Spring Creek Academy in Plano, Texas, when he began training under Yuri Kartsev at the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy. Paul Ruggeri
Paul Ruggeri III (born November 12, 1988) is a senior elite American gymnast who competed for the University of Illinois and is currently training at the USOTC in Colorado Springs, CO. Childhood Ruggeri is the grandson of an Italian immigrant. His father was a swimmer and his aunt a gymnast. He attended Fayetteville Manlius High School in his home town of Manlius, New York. He began gymnastics in 1995 at CNY Gym Centre. College career Ruggeri competed for the University of Illinois from 2008 to 2012. In 2008, Ruggeri was the NCAA national champion on high bar. In 2009, he repeated high bar gold and added gold on parallel bars. In February 2012, Ruggeri competed at the Winter Cup, where he won bronze on floor. Jacob Dalton
Jacob "Jake" Dalton (born August 19, 1991) is a retired American gymnast who was a member of the University of Oklahoma gymnastics team and the United States men's national gymnastics team. He represented the United States at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Dalton grew up in Sparks, Nevada, and is the son of Tim and Denise Dalton. Sam Mikulak
Samuel Anthony Mikulak (born October 13, 1992) is a retired American artistic gymnast. He is a six-time U.S. national all-around champion (2013–2016, 2018–2019), the 2018 World bronze medalist on high bar, and a three-time Olympian (2012, 2016, and 2020). Danell Johan Leyva (born October 30, 1991) is a Cuban-American former gymnast who competed for the United States. He is the 2012 Olympic individual all-around bronze medalist and 2016 Olympic parallel bars and horizontal bar silver medalist. John Orozco
John Orozco (born December 30, 1992) is an American artistic gymnast who competed in the 2012 Olympics and is the 2012 U.S national champion. He was selected to the U.S. Olympic gymnastics team for the 2016 Olympic Games, but withdrew on July 15, 2016 due to an ACL injury. Amelia Magdalena Hundley (born January 21, 1998) is a former American artistic gymnast. She won a gold, silver, and bronze medal at the 2015 Pan-American Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She also won team gold medals competing for the United States at the 2012 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships and the City of Jesolo Trophy.
