2012 Tour De Borneo
The 2012 Tour de Borneo, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. It was held from 27 April to 1 May 2012. There were five stages, covering 755.8 kilometres. In fact, the race was sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale as a 2.2 category race and was part of the 2011–12 UCI Asia Tour calendar. Michael Torckler of New Zealand won the race, followed by Nathan Earle of Australia second and Jonathan Lovelock of Australia third overall. Out of 102 riders, a total 72 riders made it to the finish in Kota Kinabalu. 2011–12 UCI Asia Tour
The 2011–12 UCI Asia Tour was the 8th season of the UCI Asia Tour. The season began on 2 October 2011 with the Tour d'Indonesia and ended on 30 September 2012 with the Tour de Brunei. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Asia Tour cycling jersey. Mehdi Sohrabi from Iran was the defending champion of the 2010–11 UCI Asia Tour. Sandakan
Sandakan (, Jawi: , ) formerly known at various times as Elopura, is the capital of the Sandakan District in Sabah, Malaysia. It is the second largest city in Sabah after Kota Kinabalu. It is located on the Sandakan Peninsula and east coast of the state in the administrative centre of Sandakan Division and was the former capital of British North Borneo. In 2010, the city had an estimated population of 157,330 while the overall municipal area had a total population of 396,290. The population of the municipal area had increased to 439,050 by the 2020 Census. Blake Hose
Blake is a surname which originated from Old English. Its derivation is uncertain; it could come from "blac", a nickname for someone who had dark hair or skin, or from "blaac", a nickname for someone with pale hair or skin. Another theory, presumably in the belief it is a Welsh patronymic in origin, for which there is no evidence, was that it is a corruption of "Ap Lake", meaning "Son of Lake".
