2012 Syrian Cup
The 2012 version of the Syrian Cup is the 42nd edition to be played. It is the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Syria. Al-Ittihad is the holders. The winner qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup. Quarterfinals Semifinals Al-Wahda was declared as the cup winner after the other three semifinalists, Al-Ittihad, Al-Jazeera and Al-Shorta all withdrew. 2010–11 Syrian Cup
The 2010-11 version of the Syrian Cup is the 41st edition to be played. It is the premier knockout tournament for football teams in Syria. Al-Karamah went into this edition as the holders once again. The competition started on 21 September 2010 but changed from the previous year of games over two legs to a one legged affair. The cup winner were guaranteed a place in the 2012 AFC Cup. First qualifying round Two teams play a knockout tie. One team advance to the next round. Games played over two legs. The matches were played on 5–13 October 2010. Syrian Cup
The Syrian Cup ( ar, سوريا) is Syria's premier knockout Cup tournament in men's football. It was first contested in 1959. Al-Ittihad SC has won the competition on 10 occasions. The final was first played in the 1960-61 season during the UAR era and won by Al-Majd SC. The tournament has been held annually since then except for the 1963, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977 seasons. The record for consecutive wins in the competition is four titles, only two teams have achieved such as Al-Karamah and Al-Fotuwa. Al-Ittihad are the current title holders. Al-Ittihad Sports Club of Aleppo ( ar, نادي الاتحاد الرياضي الحلبي) is a professional multi-sports club based in the Syrian city of Aleppo, mostly known for its football team which competes in the Syrian Premier League, the top league of Syrian football. The 2013 AFC Cup was the tenth edition of the AFC Cup, a football competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for clubs from "developing countries" in Asia.
