Fabian Cancellara
Fabian Cancellara (born 18 March 1981), nicknamed "Spartacus", is a Swiss cycling executive, businessman and former professional road racing cyclist who last rode for UCI ProTeam . He was born in Wohlen bei Bern, Switzerland. Cancellara began road cycling after falling in love with an old bike at the age of thirteen. After that, he began to take the sport more seriously and won two consecutive World Junior Time Trial Championships in 1998 and 1999. At age nineteen he turned professional and signed with the team, where he rode as a ''stagiaire''. 2013 Strade Bianche
The 2013 Strade Bianche was the 7th edition of the international one-day cycling race Strade Bianche. The race was held on 2 March 2013, on the same route of the previous edition. The race started in Gaiole del Chianti and ended in ''Piazza del Campo'' in Siena. The race was won by 's rider Moreno Moser, the nephew of Francesco Moser. His team-mate Peter Sagan was second and Rinaldo Nocentini of was third. Moser attacked together with Juan Antonio Flecha with 17 km to go, chased down the four fugitives Michael Schär, Maxim Belkov, Giairo Ermeti and Aleksejs Saramotins, and attacked again for a solo breakaway on the final climb in the last kilometer. The Strade Bianche is a road bicycle race in Tuscany, Central Italy, starting and finishing in Siena. First held in 2007, it is raced annually on the first or second Saturday of March. The name ''Strade Bianche'' (Italian for ''White Roads'') stems from the historic white gravel roads in the Crete Senesi, which are a defining feature of the race. One third of the total race distance is raced on dirt roads, covering 63 km of ''strade bianche'', spread over 11 sectors. Despite its short history, the Strade Bianche has quickly gained prestige, and instigated a renewed interest in road racing on gravel and dirt roads as a specific skill and discipline. The event is part of the UCI World Tour, cycling's highest level of professional road races.
