2012 Singapore Cup
The 2012 Singapore Cup (known as the RHB Singapore Cup for sponsorship reasons) starts in May 2012. It is the 15th staging of the annual Singapore Cup tournament. 11 S.League clubs and 4 invited foreign teams play in this edition. The cup was a single-elimination tournament, with all sixteen teams playing from the first round. The first round involved one-off matches. Subsequent rounds involved ties of two legs. The Courts Young Lions and Malaysia's Harimau Muda, both of whom are Great Eastern-YEO'S S.League participant teams, have requested and received permission to sit out of the RHB Singapore Cup, due to their respective preparations for the AFC Under-22 Asian Cup qualifiers in June. The first round kicked off on 14 May 2012. The quarter-finals will be held from 2 to 9 July 2012. SAFFC
Warriors Football Club is a Singaporean professional football club that played in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. Before changing their name on 20 January 2013, they were previously known as the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club (SAFFC) since their establishment on 16 February 1996. Despite their name back then, not all players from the team came from the Armed Forces. Some were internationals and others were foreign. The club's original choice of mascot was a wolf, but club officials chose a rhinoceros, which represents discipline, spirit, courage and teamwork. Shimpei Sakurada
is a Japanese football player. He is currently playing for Yadanarbon FC. Career He first joined the S.League in 2011, playing for Albirex Niigata FC (Singapore), captaining the side. He won the 2011 Singapore League Cup in penalty shootouts against Hougang United after a goalless draw at the end of Extra Time. The first silverware in the team's history. Tatsuro Inui
is a retired Japanese football player. He plays as a winger, comfortable on both flanks. Apart from his speed and dribbling skills, the ability to take set pieces is also part of his key attributes. Career Born and raised in Chiba Inui played for numerous clubs in and around the city before being signed to JEF United Chiba. He made his J1 League debut on 29 June 2008 in the 2008 J.
