The 2012 Proton Malaysian Open was a professional men's tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the fourth edition of the tournament, and part of the 2012 ATP World Tour. ATP World Tour 250 Series
The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Tour Masters 1000, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments. As of 2020 ATP Tour, 2020, the series includes 39 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion—which accounts for the name of the series. Philipp Eduardovich Davydenko (russian: Филипп Эдуардович Давыденко; born 2 September 1992 in Volgograd) is a Russian tennis player. Tennis career Davydenko has a career high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of 390 achieved on 8 December 2014. Davydenko made his ATP main draw debut at the 2009 Kremlin Cup in the doubles event partnering Ilya Belyaev losing in the first round to Martín Vassallo Argüello and Horacio Zeballos. Julian Knowle (born 29 April 1974) is an Austrian former male professional tennis player. Being a born left-hander, Knowle was one of the few on the ATP Tour who played his forehand, backhand, and even volleys double-handed.
