2012 Oregon Ducks Football Team
The 2012 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team played their home games at Autzen Stadium for the 46th straight year, and was coached by Chip Kelly in his fourth and final year at Oregon. They are a member of the Pac-12 Conference in the North Division. For the fifth straight season, Oregon swept all of their regional rivals in the Pac-12: Oregon State, Washington, and Washington State. Previous season The Ducks won their third straight conference title after defeating UCLA in the inaugural Pac-12 Football Championship Game. They represented the Pac-12 in the Rose Bowl, where they defeated Wisconsin 45–38 to win their first Rose Bowl game since 1917. Chip Kelly
Charles Edward Kelly (born November 25, 1963) is an American football coach who is the head coach of the UCLA Bruins. He came to prominence as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks from 2009 to 2012, whom he led to four consecutive BCS bowl game appearances, including the 2011 BCS National Championship Game. This success led to him serving as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for four seasons, three with the Philadelphia Eagles (2013–2015) and one with the San Francisco 49ers (2016). Kelly only made the playoffs in his first season with Philadelphia, and he was fired from both teams. After leaving the NFL, Kelly returned to college football in 2018 to coach UCLA. The 2012 Fresno State Bulldogs football team represented California State University, Fresno in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bulldogs were led by first-year head coach Tim DeRuyter and played their home games at Bulldog Stadium. This was their first year as a member of the Mountain West Conference. The 2012 Arkansas State Red Wolves football team represents Arkansas State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first year head coach Gus Malzahn and played their home games at Liberty Bank Stadium as members of the Sun Belt Conference. Arkansas State recorded a Sun Belt conference championship on the way to a 10–3 season. Jeff Lockie
Jeff Lockie (born November 14, 1993) is a former American football quarterback who played college football at Oregon. Early years Lockie played high school football at Monte Vista High School in Danville, California, where he was a two-year starter. He threw for 2,449 passing yards and 26 touchdowns while also rushing for 205 yards his junior year. He completed 234 passes for 3,278 passing yards and 31 touchdowns while also rushing for 136 yards and 7 touchdowns his senior season in 2011, earning East Bay Athletic League MVP honors. Evan Luke Baylis (born November 18, 1993) is an American football tight end who is a free agent. He played college football at Oregon and was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has also been a member of the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and the Green Bay Packers. Early years Baylis played high school football at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado. DeForest George Buckner (born March 17, 1994) is an American football defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon, and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Bralon Addison (born October 12, 1993) is an American gridiron football wide receiver for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Oregon.
