2012 LionsXII Season
The 2012 season was LionsXII's debut season in the Malaysia Super League. LionsXII returned to Malaysia competitions 18 years after their predecessor withdrew from the competitions. The Lions finished MSL runners-up at the end of the season. Malaysia Super League LionsXII debuted in the 2012 Malaysia Super League on 10 January 2012 with a 1–2 home defeat to defending champions Kelantan FA. The Lions's first win was a 2–1 victory over Kuala Lumpur FA on 17 January. They achieved the biggest win in the season by defeating Sabah FA 9–0 on 16 June 2012. LionsXII eventually finished second in the league behind Kelantan FA. On 29 December 2012, assistant coach Kadir Yahaya left his position at LionsXII and was replaced by Gombak United FC chief K. Darul Aman Stadium
The Darul Aman Stadium ( ms, Stadium Darul Aman) is a multi-purpose all-seater stadium in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was opened officially by the Sultan of Kedah in 1962 during Malaya's 1-0 victory against South Korea. It has a capacity of 32,387 seats after the expansion in 1997. Sarawak State Stadium
State of Sarawak Stadium (''Stadium Negeri Sarawak'' in Malay) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 26,000 people and opened in 1989, was the largest stadium in Malaysia. The stadium hosted Sukma Games in 1990, which Sarawak won. State Stadium is located in an area of 5 hectares in Petra Jaya. Officially opened on 27 August 1983. 3 stages of construction experience. The second stage of construction was completed on 15 June 1989 while the third level with the addition of a block to be completed by 24 June 1991. Sarawak FA
Sarawak FA State Football Team ( ms, Pasukan Bola Sepak Negeri Sarawak) was a defunct football team which represented the Malaysian region (formerly state) of Sarawak from 1974 to 2020 in the Malaysian football league. It was one of the 14 Malaysian state teams of the Malaysian football league system, Malaysian football structure before the Malaysian football league demanded all teams competing in the country's top two leagues to be run as or changed to professional clubs by 2021. It is also important to note that Sarawak FA is a football team that is not run as a professional football club, but rather a team that was funded and run by a Malaysian state football association that relied mostly on state government grants. Sufian Anuar
Muhammad Sufian bin Anuar (born 26 August 1987) is a former Singapore international footballer who played as a forward. Sufian spent most of his career times as the team backup striker role. Club career LionsXII 2012 season In the 2012 season, Sufian joined LionsXII. On 6 March, he scored his first goal of the season, scoring the Lions' second goal in a 3–1 win against FELDA United. On 20 March, he scored against Selangor at the Jalan Besar Stadium, though the match ended in a 1–1 draw. On 12 May, he scored the Lions' second goal in a 3–3 draw against Kedah. On 16 June, he scored a header from Shaiful Esah free kick in a 9–0 defeat of Sabah. On 19 June, Sufian scored a late winner against Terengganu away from home. The Perak Stadium ( ms, Stadium Perak) is a stadium used mostly for association football located in Kampung Simee in Ipoh, Kinta District, Perak, Malaysia.
