2012 LSU Tigers Football Team
The 2012 LSU Tigers football team represented Louisiana State University in the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tigers were led by eighth-year head coach Les Miles and played their home games at Tiger Stadium. They were a member of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 10–3, 6–2 in SEC play to finish in a tie for second place in the West Division. They were invited to the Chick-fil-A Bowl where they were defeated by Clemson. Les Miles
Leslie Edwin Miles (born November 10, 1953) is a former American football coach. He most recently served as the head coach at Kansas. His head coaching career began with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he coached from 2001 to 2004. Following that, he coached LSU from 2005 to 2016. Miles is nicknamed "The Hat" for his signature white cap, as well as "The Mad Hatter" for his eccentricities and play-calling habits. Prior to being a head coach, he was an assistant coach at Oklahoma State as well as at the University of Michigan, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). Miles led the 2007 LSU Tigers football team to a win in the BCS National Championship Game, defeating Ohio State. Steve Kragthorpe
Steven Jon Kragthorpe (born April 28, 1965) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently an administrative assistant for the Louisiana State University football program after previously serving as quarterbacks coach for the Tigers football team. He served as head coach at Louisville from 2007 to 2009, and for Tulsa from 2003 through 2006. Early career Kragthorpe was born in Missoula, Montana but attended Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho. Kragthorpe played high school football with ESPN commentator Merril Hoge. Both graduated from Highland High School in 1983. He was recruited by Bill Kelly to play at Eastern New Mexico University, where he played quarterback in 1983 and '84. McNeese State University
McNeese State University is a public university in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Founded in 1939 as Lake Charles Junior College, it was renamed McNeese Junior College after John McNeese, an early local educator. The present name was adopted in 1970. Adam Henry (born April 27, 1972) is an American football coach and former player who is the wide receivers coach for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). Henry has previously served as wide receivers coach for the Indiana Hoosiers, LSU, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants. He also served as tight ends coach for the Oakland Raiders. College career Henry was a wide receiver at McNeese State from 1990 to 1993, earning All-Southland Conference honors as a senior. Steve Ensminger (born September 15, 1958) is an American football coach and former player. He is an offensive analyst at Louisiana State University (LSU). Early years and playing career Ensminger was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University (LSU). He played quarterback for the LSU Tigers from 1976 to 1979. Corey Raymond (born September 28, 1969) is an American football coach, and former player, currently serving as the cornerbacks coach at Florida. Playing career Raymond played cornerback at LSU before being signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 1992. Raymond also played for the Detroit Lions. Coaching career Raymond began his coaching career in 2003 at his alma mater, New Iberia High School in New Iberia, Louisiana.
