2012 Karjala Tournament
The 2012 Karjala Tournament was played between 7–10 November 2012. The Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden and Russia played a round-robin for a total of three games per team and six games in total. Five of the matches were played in the Turkuhalli in Turku, Finland, and one match in the TipSport Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. The tournament was won by Czech Republic for the first time. The tournament was part of 2012–13 Euro Hockey Tour. Standings Games ''All times are local.'' Carl Söderberg
Carl Johan Söderberg (born 12 October 1985) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey forward. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the second round, 49th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, and has previously played with the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Arizona Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Sweden Söderberg played as a youth with hometown club, the Malmö Redhawks. While showing an offensive prowess in the Under-18 Allsvenskan he first played in the J20 SuperElit level with the Redhawks in the 2001–02 season, appearing in nine games. In the following season, he was a regular in the J20 placing second amongst the Redhawks in scoring with 35 points in 28 games. Per Staffan Kronwall (born September 10, 1982) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals. He also played for Djurgårdens IF and Brynäs IF of the Elitserien, as well as Severstal Cherepovets and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Niclas Burström (born January 25, 1991) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for IK Oskarshamn in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Burström played as a youth in his native Sweden within the program of Skellefteå AIK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He made his professional debut in the 2008–09 season. Marek Židlický (; born ) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the sixth round, 176th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Jakub Petružálek (born 24 April 1985) is a Czech professional ice hockey center playing for HC Litvínov of the Czech Extraliga (ELH). Petr Nedvěd
Petr Nedvěd (born December 9, 1971) is a Czech-born Canadian former professional ice hockey player who spent 15 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1990 and 2007. Early career Nedvěd was born in Liberec, Czechoslovakia to Jaroslav and Soňa ("Sonia") Nedvěd. He left Czechoslovakia as a refugee on January 2, 1989, at the age of 17 after playing in an international midget tournament in Calgary. Nedvěd was the star of the tournament, with 17 goals and nine assists. Tomáš Plekanec (born 31 October 1982) is a Czech professional ice hockey centre currently playing for Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Extraliga (ELH).
