2012 Johan Cruyff Shield
The seventeenth edition of the Johan Cruyff Shield ( nl, Johan Cruijff Schaal) was held on 5 August 2012 at the Amsterdam Arena. The match was played between 2011–12 KNVB Cup winners PSV Eindhoven and the 2011–12 Eredivisie winners Ajax. PSV won the match 4–2 in front of 50,000 fans. PSV Eindhoven
Philips Sport Vereniging (; en, Philips Sports Association ), abbreviated as PSV and internationally known as PSV Eindhoven (), is a Dutch sports club from Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is best known for its professional football department, which has played in the Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch football, since its inception in 1956. Wilfred Bouma
Wilfred Bouma (; born 15 June 1978) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played most notably for PSV Eindhoven, Aston Villa and the Netherlands national team. Club career Early career Born in Helmond, North Brabant, Bouma started his career at amateur club SV Rood-Wit '62 before joining PSV on a youth contract in 1994. The PSV head coach at the time, Aad de Mos handed him his professional debut against Willem II on 26 October 1994 which his team lost 2–1. Dirk Nicolaas Advocaat (; born 27 September 1947) is a Dutch former football player and coach who is currently the head coach of Eerste Divisie side ADO Den Haag. Advocaat was successful as a football player and as a coach, including three stints with the Netherlands national team. Tim Matavž (born 13 January 1989) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Croatian club Gorica. Club career Matavž began his football career at the age of 6 playing for Bilje. In 2004, he moved to Gorica youth squads. Memphis Depay (; born 13 February 1994), also known simply as Memphis, is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for La Liga club Barcelona and the Netherlands national team. Marcel Ritzmaier (born 22 April 1993) is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or left-back for SV Sandhausen. Peter van Ooijen (born 16 February 1992) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Helmond Sport. Timothy Derijck (born 25 May 1987) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Belgian First Division A club Zulte Waregem. Club career Early career Derijck is a product of the Anderlecht youth academy, but left the Brussels giants for Feyenoord before making it into the first team. Boy Waterman (born 24 January 1984) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for PSV Eindhoven. Luciano Narsingh (born 13 September 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for Ekstraklasa club Miedź Legnica.
